Those who have not entered retreat, those who behave improperly in the practice chamber, and those whose body, speech, and mind yogas are impure should not enter the retreat. If choosing a woman, she must be of noble birth, exceptional, or not tainted by worldly affairs, and of pure senses. Absolutely no one else who does not meet the criteria should be allowed to enter. Protect the bindu (semen) within the body, and do not rely on food and drink that are harmful to the bindu. Maintain a balanced diet, avoiding both overeating and starvation. Do not hesitate or doubt, and do not wait for any signs or omens. In the diligence of practice, do not be lax or take turns resting, but strive continuously like the flow of a great river. Furthermore, it is crucial to uphold the vows of the unsurpassed secret mantra practice. If one can keep these vows, one can practice smoothly according to the scriptures, without any obstacles, and quickly attain accomplishment. Some yogis, claiming to have certainty in view and reality, say that they do not need to keep vows. If that is the case, then they also do not need to pursue accomplishments and deities, because they already have certainty in view and reality, so they do not need vows. Such statements are meaningless and contradictory, and will only lead to fruitless practice. Therefore, it is crucial to value the cause-and-effect relationship and diligently keep vows. The third point is the subsequent actions: one should be consistent with general practice methods, especially preparing abundant offerings and tormas (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बलि, Sanskrit Romanization: bali, Chinese literal meaning: offering) to offer to the guru, yidam, and dakini assembly, and conduct a feast gathering. One should strive to perform twenty-one fire pujas and other rituals as much as possible. Do not let anyone see the retreatant during the retreat, and the retreatants should re-seal the retreat place. The above is the guidance on practice. Samaya (Tibetan: ས་མ་ཡ, Sanskrit Devanagari: समय, Sanskrit Romanization: samaya, Chinese literal meaning: vow)! Gya Gya Gya (Tibetan: རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: gya gya gya, Chinese literal meaning: seal, seal, seal)! Ati (Tibetan: ཨྠྀི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अति, Sanskrit Romanization: ati, Chinese literal meaning: beyond)! Om (Tibetan: ༁ྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Chinese literal meaning:)! Homage to the Guru, Deva, Dakini Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable)! Next is the application of activities, which are divided into two types: supreme activities and common activities. First is the supreme activity: follow the previous ritual to generate oneself as the deity, then in the copper gau box in front, visualize the guru as the Dharmakaya form; in the mirror mandala, visualize the Sambhogakaya form; in the vase, visualize the Nirmanakaya form. Specifically, Guru Thotreng Tsal (Tibetan: ཐོད་ཕྲེང་རྩལ, Chinese literal meaning: Skull Garland Power) is surrounded by the five families; Yidam Pal Hayagriva (Tibetan: རྟ་མགྲིན་, Chinese literal meaning: Horse Neck) is surrounded by the four heroes; Dakini Vajravarahi (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕག་མོ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रवाराही, Sanskrit Romanization: vajravārāhī, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra Sow) is surrounded by the dakinis of the four families. Invoke the wisdom being and perform the empowerment according to the common ritual. Recite Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning:) Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning:) Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable) Vajra Guru Padma --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recite 'OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA DHAKINI HAYAGRIVA HRIH MAHA RINI SARA TSA SRIYA DHEVA DHAKINI BODHICITTA MAHASUKHA JÑANA VAJRA DHARMA DHATU SARVA SIDDHI PHALA HUM SVAHA' to stimulate the samaya of the deities appearing in the mirror and vase within the gau (amulet box), and recite continuously. By doing so, invite countless gurus, yidams, and dakinis from all directions, and they dissolve into the deities. From the body, speech, and mind of the deities, nectar and rays of light emanate, dissolving into the pills in the kapala (skull cup). Just by dissolving, all the pills melt into light, filling the kapala. From the brahma-randhra (aperture at the crown of the head) of the kapala, a stream of wisdom nectar flows gently, falling upon one's own brahma-randhra, filling the entire body with light. The body and mind are completely filled with the experience of great bliss-emptiness wisdom, and contemplate attaining the supreme and unsurpassed great wisdom siddhi. Focus on this without wavering, and diligently recite for twenty-one days. In this way, signs of supreme siddhi will appear, consistent with general signs of accomplishment. During breaks between sessions, the conduct is the same as during practice, but especially, even in the state of aimless sealing, recite hundreds of times. In this way, worldly noise and distractions will not arise, and inner realization and experience, as well as undefiled great bliss-emptiness wisdom, will clearly arise in the mind. The subsequent conduct is as described below. The common activity is: perform the self-generation and front-generation as before, but especially, just by reciting the mantra mentioned below, from the heart of the front-generation deity—guru, yidam, dakini, and their retinue—countless messengers, like real emanations, holding iron hooks and lassos in their right and left hands respectively, emanate in all directions. They gather all the gods, demons, and humans of samsara and nirvana, as well as food, wealth, enjoyment, lifespan, merit, glory, riches, fame, and so on, and dissolve them into the pills in the kapala. Together with the gatherers, they dissolve, and the pills become radiant and vibrant, possessing perfect essence, energy, and power, and contemplate that it has transformed into a wish-fulfilling great substance that accomplishes the four activities. Recite: 'OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA DHAKINI HAYAGRIVA HRIH MAHA RINI SARA TSA SRIYA DHEVA DHAKINI JÑANA SIDDHI SARVA DHARMA SIDDHI AKRA SIDDHI AYUH SIDDHI PUNYE SIDDHI VASU SIDDHI KHEDA SIDDHI SVAHA' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
