For those resembling rust and copper nails, administer a whip arrow mixed with good six, musk, pig bile juice, and sheep blood, or administer bitter ginseng, minor poison, rhubarb, and Vasa, added to the general medicinal formula above. If the heat is very high, add camphor. Add white cardamom, myrobalan, and stone medicine. If the body swells and the medicine is ineffective, death occurs within seven days. If red spots do not turn into pox, death occurs within five days. If black spots do not suppurate, death occurs within nine days. If it turns blue and fasting is excessive, death will occur. If the pox finishes and recurs, it is said that death is caused by karma. The treatment combined with the location of the outbreak is as follows: If it breaks out in the heart, madness, trembling, and anxiety will occur. Administer the general medicinal formula with added camphor. If it cannot be treated, madness and agitation will lead to death. If it breaks out in the lungs, there will be much coughing, pain, and suppuration. Administer the licorice and rock candy formula with additions. If it cannot be treated, blockage of the throat will lead to death. If it breaks out in the liver, the eyes will turn red and there will be pain above the liver. Add bear bile, rock lichen, and saffron. If fainting occurs, vomiting blood will lead to death. If it breaks out in the intestines, there will be vomiting of bile. Administer aconite, nettle, and minor poison with additions. If vomiting blood occurs, rupture of the viscera will lead to death. The antidote for all of these is mercury. If it occurs in the eyes, apply camphor and musk. Alternatively, apply Prunus humilis and breast milk. Bear bile, Sanguisorba officinalis, juniper, turmeric, and blue vitriol. Mix and apply with breast milk, dab and suck with a feather. Wash with camphor and saffron water, fumigate with an incense burner. If it breaks out in the throat, fumigate with flour, lime, and hot ashes. Sprinkle powder of Artemisia sieversiana, Ruta graveolens, and table salt. Administer Mirabilis jalapa decoction, drink horse dung water. If it cannot be treated, shave with tweezers and apply medicinal powder. If it breaks out in the bladder, administer a decoction mixed with table salt, Ruta graveolens, sunflower, and musk. Table salt, musk, Artemisia sieversiana, and Ruta graveolens, mixed with water, secretly inject into the bladder with a catheter. This will subdue the disease of poisonous pox. Thus it is said.
