Even the three pitakas of the Hearers' Vehicle do not fully explain the path to unsurpassed enlightenment. As it is said in the Ratnavali: "From the Hearers' Vehicle, there is no explanation of the aspirations and practices of Bodhisattvas, or the dedication of merit. How can one become a Bodhisattva?" Also, in the Sutra Ornament, it is said: "Because the thought and the teaching, the combination and the manifestation, and the time are contradictory, what is inferior? That is the only inferior thing." It is said. For the Pratyekabuddhas as well, apart from the slight difference in the realization of the path, such as the arising of clarity on the selflessness of phenomena, the rest are the same as the Hearers. And there are various statements about whether there is a collection of teachings on the path of the Pratyekabuddhas or not. The absence refers to the teachings of our own teacher, while the presence refers to the general teachings. The Establishment of the Path and Fruit of the Paramitas Second, explaining the path and fruit of the Paramitas, the actual Paramita Vehicle is this Mahayana itself. As the teacher Vīra said in the One Hundred and Fifty Praises: "For those like rhinoceros horns, there is not even the name of Paramita. The Bhagavan alone is Paramita, abiding in the totality of the six." It is said. However, it should be known that the Lesser Vehicles are also in accordance with the Paramita Vehicle, or are merely close branches. There are three points here: explaining the collection of the Paramita Vehicle, and the way in which it surpasses the Lesser Vehicle, and explaining the actual path and fruit of the Paramitas. The first point is that, in general, the Buddha's teachings have twelve categories of scriptures. These twelve categories are, as stated in the commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses, the Essence of the Heart: "Sutras, songs, prophecies, verses, self-spoken words, causes, parables, stories of previous lives, amazing events, and categories of treatises." Among them, the extremely extensive category is the Sutra, which is unique to the Mahayana. The rest also have their respective Mahayana aspects, but most are common, such as Sutras.

The twelve categories of scriptures are just brief and concise, while the extremely extensive sections are said to be limitless. Secondly, the way in which it surpasses the Hinayana is as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'The greatness of the object, likewise the purification of the two obscurations, the arising of wisdom and diligence, skillful means, the great accomplishment of truth, and the great activity of the Buddha; because it possesses the seven greatnesses, it is definitely called the Mahayana.' Thus, it surpasses in terms of the path and the result, possessing the seven greatnesses. Moreover, the way in which the extremely extensive collection of scriptures surpasses the Hinayana collection is stated in the Summary of the Great Vehicle: 'The place of knowledge and its characteristics, entering into that nature, its cause and its excellent distinctions, the three trainings and its result, abandonment and wisdom, the supreme vehicle is superior. This teaching is not seen in others like this, because of seeing these as the cause of supreme enlightenment. By whatever distinguishes the entry by teaching the ten grounds, the Great Vehicle desires the Buddha's word.' Thus it is said. Furthermore, in the Great Vehicle, the Ornament of the Sutras, the Precious Garland of the Middle Way, Engaging in the Bodhisattva's Deeds, and the Actual Basis of the Earth, and so on, there are many teachings on the differences between the superior and inferior vehicles, and the way in which the Great Vehicle is the Buddha's word. Thirdly, the actual explanation of the path and fruit of the perfections is also stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'Lineage and faith in the Dharma, likewise the generation of the mind, the practice of giving and so on, entering into the faultless, the complete maturation of sentient beings, the purification of the fields, non-abiding nirvana, supreme enlightenment and the teacher.' Thus it is said. Among these, the first, lineage, is that the luminosity of the mind's nature is the naturally abiding lineage. In the Condensed Meaning of the Eight Thousand, it is said: 'Thus, the nature of consciousness is lineage, it is the essence of bliss and wisdom.' Thus it is said. When that mind itself becomes accustomed to virtuous Dharma, the qualities that draw near to enlightenment increase, which is the lineage of increasing, etc. In the presence of the noble Nagarjuna, also, various austerities, giving
