That which is stained, although the conventional truth exists nominally, it cannot stain the Dharmadhatu, and it does not exist separately. Because the conventional truth is merely an illusion, it does not exist in reality like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, there is no cause for staining, and thus it is not stained. Therefore, the perfectly established Tathagatagarbha is never empty in its own nature, while other conventional truths are empty from the beginning. The perfectly established ultimate truth is "other-empty" (gzhan stong), not "self-empty" (rang stong). Therefore, since conventional truths are empty of other-nature and also empty of self-nature, and the ultimate truth is only empty of other-nature, those who speak of this principle are Madhyamikas of Other-Emptiness. To counteract any attachment to samsaric dharmas, one should cultivate renunciation through impermanence and suffering, abandon self-cherishing, and rely on the mind of Bodhicitta. To abandon gross attachments to conventional truths, one should ascertain and meditate on the non-inherent existence of conventional truths. To abandon subtle attachments, one should gather the conceptualizations of conventional truth into the Dharmadhatu and meditate on non-conceptualization. Thus, one will gradually meet the non-conceptual Tathagatagarbha. Therefore, the extent of the path meditation is for the sake of meeting the perfectly established reality. Refuting the Extremes of Others' Views. Third, refuting the extremes of others' views: It should also be understood as an ornament of the Madhyamaka of Other-Emptiness. Although a detailed explanation will be given elsewhere, here is a summary of the essential points: Other schools asked in the Lankavatara Sutra, "If the Tathagatagarbha has marks and signs, wouldn't it be the same as the 'self' of the Tirthikas (non-Buddhists)?" The answer was, "It is not the same, because it is emptiness." Therefore, the Tathagatagarbha is without inherent existence, and if it has marks and signs, it would become a Tirthika view. Like space, calling something that does not exist in any way the Tathagatagarbha. Saying that "anything that is emptiness means without inherent existence, and merely regarding something without characteristics and not established in any way as the Tathagatagarbha" is a fault of clinging to one's own bad tenets. The Sutra also states that the reason for not being the same as the Tirthikas is emptiness, and it does not state that there are no marks and signs. Therefore, the Tathagatagarbha with clear and complete marks and signs

Saying that the first is the true meaning is just deceiving the false world. Also, saying that believing the essence to be permanent is a heretical doctrine is just refuting the sutras of essence. If the meaning of permanence is considered to be the permanence of continuity, it is also unreasonable, because merely the permanence of continuity is also all of samsara and grasping and being grasped. If merely the permanence of continuity can establish the meaning of permanence, then all conditioned phenomena would also become permanent. If it is thought that the first is with defilements and later becomes without defilements, so it is impermanent, then from the perspective of the Dharmadhatu, the first is not with defilements, and later it does not become without defilements. The way of going from with defilements to without defilements depends on the continuum of the individual. The nature of phenomena does not change with the changing state of sentient beings. If it is thought that it is unreasonable for sentient beings to have the wisdom of the Buddha in their continuum, then it contradicts what is directly stated, "Because the wisdom of the Buddha enters the assembly of sentient beings." If it is thought that it is unreasonable for sentient beings to have the qualities of the Buddha in their continuum, for example, if sentient beings have the power to know what is and is not, then all that is and is not would become the consciousness of sentient beings. Saying this is also not correct, because we do not believe that every continuum of sentient beings is a Buddha. If the presence of the Buddha and his qualities in the continuum of sentient beings leads to this fault, then when the Buddha sits on the throne, would the throne also know all knowable things? Therefore, the continuum of sentient beings, which is the eight aggregates of consciousness, is not the Buddha, and the Buddha who dwells in it does not dwell in the manner of conventional dependence, but dwells in the manner of ultimate Dharmata. At this time, let me briefly mention some terms that are currently needed. The three turnings of the Dharma wheel are: first, the Dharma wheel of the Four Noble Truths; second, the Dharma wheel of no characteristics; and third, the Dharma wheel of perfect discrimination. The first is the Hinayana Sutra of the Hearers' Pitaka spoken to the Hearers. The second is like the root Sutra of the Mahayana, but the intended meaning is hidden. The last is like its explanatory lineage, which very clearly shows the definitive meaning.
