Oṃ, auspicious words of possessing perfect abundance, etc. In the vase, the five deities reside, and a stream of nectar descends. It descends from the crown of one's head, filling the entire body. Oṃ maṇi dhari vajriṇi mahā pratī sāre hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā. Vajra abhiṣiñca hūṃ. Recite three times, etc. Similarly, apply the mantras of the four Bhagavatīs as well. If abbreviated, the ritual can be completed with just that. If elaborate, from Oṃ indra ya svāhā. Vajra abhiṣiñca hūṃ. Up to Oṃ vaiśramaṇa ya svāhā. Vajra abhiṣiñca hūṃ. Also add these and bestow the water empowerment. Then, touch the crown mudra to the crown of the head and recite: Oṃ tathāgato ta bhava abhiṣiñca hūṃ. Receive the crown empowerment. Then, separately place Sitatapatra on one's own crown, Mahāsahasrapramardani on the right shoulder, Mahāmāyuri on the left, Mantrānudhāriṇī on the right armpit, and Śītavana on the left, becoming a great protector. Touch the vajra to those places, ending with Oṃ maṇi, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ. Oṃ amṛta vare, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ. Oṃ amṛta vilo, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ. Oṃ vimale, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ. [Oṃ bhara, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ.] Oṃ indra ya, etc. Rakṣa rakṣa māṃ. These are the protections of the deities. This is a branch of the water crown empowerment. Then, if it is the time to empower the disciple, wash the essence of Sitatapatra written on the mirror with vase water and have the disciple drink it. During self-entry, drink a little from the bath vase water and recite the five mantras, starting with maṇi dhari, once. Although this is called the protection of mantras, since it is the actual mantra empowerment, it is very good to perform recitation transmission, vows, and blessing transmission after that. In any case, it is an important part of the main empowerment, so cherish it. This is when empowering the disciple, milk porridge and medicine, etc., should be given. For self-entry, drink from the bath vase water, remembering the glory of Buddha Vipashyin, and the powers of the one with the crown, and the true words that protect all, and the samādhi that dispels wrong views, and the wisdom called gold, and the radiance of
