Ah! Suffering. Understanding that all suffering and afflictions arise from one's own mind, and resolving it with the guru's instructions. The extent of removal is that those obstacles are fundamentally reversed and pacified, or even if they are not pacified immediately, those become companions for meditation, settling in the place, and the mind becomes comfortable. The oral instructions for removing obstacles are fivefold: relying on devotion, giving one's own body, relying on non-elaboration, distinguishing between the support and the supported, and relying on severing conceptual thoughts in the expanse; and the meditation of gaining some stability, making six in total. The first is to first send forth refuge and bodhicitta. In general, towards all sentient beings, and especially 6-340 if there are harm-doers, cultivate strong compassion specifically towards them. Thinking, "May I establish these beings in the state of Buddhahood." And with firm conviction, place all of these on the path to liberation from samsara, may the Guru and the Three Jewels know. On one's own crown, visualize the root guru in his actual form, or Vajradhara, or the red form of Yamantaka, whichever you visualize is fine. Merge all the lineage gurus, yidams, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas into that form. With strong devotion, imagine offering all your body and possessions. I take refuge in the precious guru who is the essence of all Buddhas of the three times. Grant your blessings so that this obstacle may be used on the path. Pray as much as you can. As the guru dissolves into oneself, the guru's body, speech, and mind become inseparable from one's own body, speech, and mind, and in this state, maintain the state of non-elaboration and abide in equanimity. The second is, when thoughts of demons and the like arise, without being interrupted by other thoughts, a sharp sword of wisdom appears in the right hand, and without any attachment or clinging to one's own body, chop it into pieces. The collection of flesh and blood becomes as vast as filling the sky. Invite the assembly of gurus and yidams into the sky. Visualize transforming the essence of one's own flesh and blood into nectar and offering it. Recite (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Om (ༀ, ॐ, oṃ, 唵) Ah (ཨཱཿ, आः, āḥ, 啊) Hum (ཧཱུྃ, हूँ, hūṃ, 吽). With the harm-doers as the main guests, invite all the guests of the three realms, such as the eighty-four thousand kinds of gods, demons, and obstacles of existence. As they desire, they eat and drink the collection of flesh and blood,

Think with contentment and joy from the uncontaminated bliss. Recite Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ་,Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ,Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ,嗡啊吽). Leave yourself, the harmer, and all the offerings undiscernible, and rest equally in the space. 6-341 Third, do as the previous preliminaries. Abide in the pride of the deity and know all dharmas as illusion. Remove all obstacles by the previous six methods, etc. If conceptualization is strong, then practice the luminosity of conceptualization. If devotion is small, then practice the blessing of the guru yoga. If hatred is strong, then practice the incomparable yoga of compassion. If self-grasping is strong, then practice the yoga of the root cause. If the elements are disturbed, then practice the yoga of the life-force wind. If the body's essence is bad, then practice the yoga of interdependent substances. If desire is strong, then practice the yoga of Vajrabhairava as an antidote. Finally, transfer everything to the space of non-elaboration. If these do not eliminate it, then extract the awareness diligently. Raise the height and exert the power. Mix the space awareness with whatever is not eliminated, such as disease, evil spirits, afflictions, and conceptualizations, and directly recognize the essence of whatever arises, and repeatedly rest in the state of non-elaborate wisdom. Fourth, as before with the preliminaries. Meditate on the conceptual thought that appears as an obstacle, imagining it being inserted through the nine apertures like steam, like meditating on the luminosity of conceptual thought, and extend it into space. Whatever is the object of conceptual thought, such as fear, discouragement, and disgust, determine all of that as your own mind and rest in equanimity. Again, if there are sentient beings who harm you, first send refuge and bodhicitta, and imagine that your own mind, like the tip of a burning lamp in the center of your heart, opens a hole from the heart and goes like a shooting star into the heart of the enemy or obstacle, etc. Then, mix it with your own mind without any difference. Then, it also vanishes into the sky and rests equally in the space of non-elaboration. 6-342 Fifth, as before with the preliminaries, do not let the mind wander for even a moment, and by focusing the mind on the conceptual thought that appears as an obstacle, the grasping there vanishes, and the non-elaborate wisdom is extended as before. Furthermore, by maintaining whatever conceptual thought arises as it is, without changing it. That conceptual thought itself is transformed into wisdom, and I myself am non-dual wisdom.
