Collected Teachings of Dolonatha JT134: A Marvelous Instruction Manual on Non-elaboration. A Marvelous Instruction Manual on Non-elaboration. ༄། །Preliminary. A Marvelous Instruction Manual on Non-elaboration. ༄༅། །Namo Guru Shri Yamari Advita Charanaya. Homage to the Guru, glorious Yamari, the unique foot). The glorious Lord of Vajra, with the supreme radiant Vajra Scepter, grinds all the afflictions of the three realms into powder, along with the unruly demons, and with the weapon of great bliss, utterly destroys the armies of the four maras, manifestly summoning them into the house. In order to always offer the food filled with a hundred flavors of stainless great bliss, the hand is marked with a half-moon-like white skull cup. With a stretching and contracting posture, he destroys the city of the Lord of Death, and grants the accomplishment of liberation from samsara and nirvana to the practitioner. Such is the Lama Yamari. Remembering him for a moment eliminates all obstacles. The wish-fulfilling tree that produces all desired accomplishments. Having relied on him, I will explain according to his teachings. The oral instructions of the glorious and powerful Virupa, the complete stage of the Bhagavan Yamari, this extremely non-elaborate instruction, although it is seen that many are distorted by bias and are devoted only to fulfilling their own desires. However, the pure self-tradition of the translators and scholars of this Dharma is rare. The stages of visualization in the text itself are very clear. Here, in order to keep the oral transmission from being interrupted, taking the transmission of the great translator of Glogbo, Sherab Rinchen, as proof, I will briefly describe the visualization sequence, just as the oral instructions of the Lamas who have come down through the unbroken lineage of practice. This has three parts: preliminary, main part, and subsequent part. The first has two: offering a mandala to accumulate merit, and reciting the hundred-syllable mantra to purify sins and obscurations. 6-324 The first is: taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, whether brief or extensive, should be done in accordance with the common practice. In front of oneself, in the center of a wide and vast precious throne supported by eight lions, is the Lama Bhagavan Yamari, surrounded by the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dakinis, Dharma Protectors, and Guardians. Imagine manifesting many bodies and prostrating, and praising with "By whose kindness," etc.

Know these things. Visualize offering the outer, inner, and secret suchness offerings. After offering the seven-branch mandala once, pray that the glorious and holy Lama knows my thoughts, please accept me with compassion, please bless my continuum, please bless that the extraordinary wisdom of utter simplicity arises in my continuum. Pray intensely in this way. Finally, visualize all of this dissolving into light and merging from your crown chakra downwards. Think that the body and mind become comfortable and relaxed. If you prefer the elaborate, then place five piles of mandalas for the offering place in front, with the Lama in the center, the Yidam in front, the Buddha on the right, the Dharma in the back, the Sangha on the left, and the Dharma protectors in between. Offer each offering three times, pray to the Lama and Yidam eight times each, and pray to the others seven times each, etc. Practice as much as possible according to the simple offering ritual and the small booklet. Secondly, instantly transform yourself into white Vajrasattva. The right hand holds a vajra at the heart, the left hand holds a bell at the hip, with the posture of a bodhisattva in full lotus position, adorned with all ornaments. On a lotus and moon seat at the heart, a white Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable is surrounded by the hundred-syllable mantra. From it, an immeasurable stream of white nectar flows, filling the inside of the body. Visualize all sins and obscurations being expelled from the nine orifices in the form of soot or pus and blood, and your own body becoming the nature of light like a rainbow. Recite the hundred-syllable mantra of Vajrasattva as much as possible. Finally, visualize the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable and all the letters dissolving, light filling the body. Think that the entire body and mind are pervaded by great bliss. Visualize all the holy beings such as the Lama, Yidam, Buddha, and Bodhisattvas residing in front. I prostrate and bow, I prostrate and pay homage. I prostrate and pay homage, I prostrate and pay homage. I respectfully prostrate and pay homage to you. Please, Vajrasattva, accomplish me. I am ignorant and deluded. Confess in this way, etc. They will also say: Son of good family, your sins and obscurations are purified. Then exhale. All of this dissolves into yourself. Recognize all phenomena, represented by sins and obscurations, as illusory and unreal. Rest in equanimity for a while.
