It becomes dull, without clarity, without purity, without strength. At that time, it is very important to diligently raise strength and meditate. That will allow awareness to abide in a clear and pure state. After that, random thoughts suddenly arise, and they occur alternately like that. The body sensation and speech sensation become much softer and more comfortable than before, and begin to enter this state, which is called the experience of "habituation." For example, the behavior of an old man, or a pond at the foot of a mountain, or a frog jumping. The fourth is: If you continue to meditate for a longer period of time, random thoughts will arise alone, or they will occur one after another in succession. Most of the time, you will be in a state of peace, relaxation, and clarity. The body sensation will mostly feel comfortable. The breath will also mostly become calm and comfortable. 4-632 Sometimes, because the tactile sensation of the breath in the nostrils and the sound are very clear, the mind is not allowed to settle, and you feel annoyed. Sometimes random thoughts surge like waves, but without recognizing them, you simply abide. Sometimes, even if you release the mind, it will not leave. This is called the experience of "stability." For example, putting a turtle in a container, a small lake being hit by hail, or pouring water into an iron tube. The fifth is: If you continue to meditate diligently, the body sensation and speech sensation will be more comfortable than before, and you will not even know the existence of the body. You will not feel the flow of breath, and even if you know it, you will be in a state of equanimity without pleasure or pain, and the mind will not be distracted. Some people know when they check, and do not know when they do not check. The mind peacefully merges into one object, if you want the mind to abide, it abides, if you want to release it, it releases, and you can do as you please when needed. Unless external factors such as loud sounds occur, or you are awakened by internal effort, you will be able to complete one session after another. This is called the experience of "perfection." For example, a king ruling his subjects, like a great mountain, or like a great sea without waves. Like that, obtaining wavering, habituation, stability, and perfection, is the way in which the path of meditation arises. So it is said. Also, the five ways in which these experiences arise are, in order: The experience of recognizing random thoughts, the experience of rest, the experience of fatigue, the experience of having waves, and the experience of not having waves. So it is said. If the fifth abides on the ten states of luminosity and constancy, and obtains stability, even strong factors will not cause separation from meditation, but rather the fruit.
