Or it is also called introducing the Vipassanā of no self-nature. This is the sixth introduction cycle. Fourth, in order to show that those manifestations require non-conceptual wisdom, the scriptures say: Just as the luminosity of the mind cannot be seen by the methods of conceptual meditation, it can only be seen by uniting those pure things with the impure. And from "Following conceptual thoughts, there will be no clear manifestation of meaning," in all the sutras, tantras, treatises, oral instructions, and logic, it is widely explained. The reason is: Because the reality of things is only the object of wisdom, conceptual thoughts cannot touch reality. The meditation experience is: Even if one meditates on emptiness with the effort of conceptual thought for a lifetime, one will not even see the sign of smoke, let alone the experience of bliss and emptiness that arises spontaneously even once. Because by practicing non-conceptuality with uncommon key points, those arise immediately and are verified by experience, and when the mind abides, not only will the conceptual meditation of emptiness naturally stop, but even if one deliberately remembers it, it will disappear by itself from the state of not yet reaching awareness and be verified by experience. Deciding that non-conceptuality is needed through the gate of having three kinds of faith can also be explained by the previous examples. Up to this point, the introduction of the view has been explained. This is the seventh introduction cycle. Text: Introducing through meditation experience. Second, regarding the introduction of meditation, among the four points, the first is the introduction of the cause of samādhi: the general collection of causes for tranquility such as discipline, and the preliminaries from refuge to the three abandonments, as well as the function of the main practice, the bonds, and the special key points of the object of focus. The meaning of these will be clearly and completely explained. Second, introducing the way samādhi arises: such as the five of obtaining movement, etc. Third, introducing the signs of samādhi: such as the distinction between daytime signs, nighttime signs, and the ten signs, etc. These two should be understood in the text of signs and degrees. Furthermore, in the Sutra Requested by Brahma's Special Mind, it says: How, how one sees compounded things as false,

Thus, one becomes compassionate. In this way, compassion without near or far arises, and the eight worldly concerns become balanced. The Sutra of the Ten Bhumis states, "The cessation of livelihood, death, lack of praise, evil destinies, and within the retinue, he has no appearance of timidity." This speaks of the freedom from the five fears upon attaining a bhumi, and in accordance with this, even for an ordinary person who is a beginner in practice, if pure meditation arises, then compared to before, worries about food and clothing will decrease, there will be no fear of death, no aversion to others accumulating sins, and no anger will arise. Hope and doubt, as well as mental suffering and discomfort, will diminish. For the Dharma of definitive meaning, wisdom will be opened, and one will become very confident in speaking the Dharma. If one possesses the qualities from compassion up to this point, it is a sign of having gained some certainty in realization. Fourth, introducing the nature of samadhi: To suit the minds of different individuals, the distinctions of shamatha and vipashyana are explained clearly and understandably in various ways, both extensively and concisely, in accordance with universal principles. Here, abiding in non-conceptual samadhi in the three solitudes is shamatha. Abiding non-conceptually in emptiness-form is what the sutras refer to as vipashyana with characteristics, and one abides in that. Knowing emptiness-form as one's own mind, free from elaboration, is what is called the vipashyana of universal seeking. Abiding in the union of appearance and emptiness, where emptiness-form and one's own mind are inseparable, is what is said to be the vipashyana of individual examination. When one becomes thoroughly accustomed to these and abides effortlessly and naturally, then the sutras say, "Shamatha and vipashyana that focus on phenomena mixed with the immeasurable." This is what the Buddha taught, and its nature is the union of shamatha and vipashyana. The "characteristics" in the "vipashyana with characteristics" mentioned here do not refer to elaboration and conceptual thought, but rather to signs, indications, or experiential signs of meditation. Similarly, universal seeking and individual examination, etc., do not refer to analytical conceptual thought, but rather to the meaning of looking at one's own face with non-conceptual wisdom. Detailed explanations should be sought in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra itself. This is the eighth section of the introduction. Introduction through conduct. Third, the introduction of conduct: All the conduct of the three vehicles is practiced without error, just as the Buddha taught, and the three vows are not contradictory.
