Furthermore, students are happy to listen, and teachers are happy to teach. Students easily understand, and teachers are good at explaining. If important meanings are explained, they can be understood and the mind will turn to Dharma; if they are not explained, because they have not been understood before, the mind will not turn to Dharma, and so on. If it is something that must be explained, then when students are practicing visualization, they should gradually explain the meaning of refuge in Sutra and Tantra, or in the Great and Small Vehicles, every day, making sure that they understand it in their minds. At this time, the yoga of sleep is: without retracting the objects of refuge, imagine yourself lying on a lotus and moon cushion on the ground in front of the Guru's form, and fall asleep with devotion to the objects of refuge. This is a supplementary instruction. Secondly: Refuge is as before, recite the appropriate number of times, and after dissolving the objects of refuge into oneself, project a connection with the ten directions of the world. No matter which direction you go, just as the sky is endless, so too is the world endless. All the realms of the world are filled with the six kinds of sentient beings without any gaps. All those sentient beings are kind parents. They all want happiness, but they are not skilled in the means of achieving happiness, so they only experience suffering, which is truly pitiful. May I quickly liberate them from the suffering of samsara and establish them in the supreme, unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of Buddhahood. Since I do not have the power to do so now, may I quickly attain the state of Buddhahood, which has such power. Therefore, I will practice the profound path of Vajra Yoga. May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness! May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering! May all sentient beings never be separated from the bliss that is without suffering! May all sentient beings abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion, near and far! Recite this and contemplate the meaning as much as possible. At the end of the session, dedicate the merit as in the refuge practice. The second visualization session, the guidance on generating Bodhicitta, is complete. Here, if it is desired and necessary, the meaning of loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment can be explained in detail during the three days or so of practicing the generation of Bodhicitta.

Thirdly, the refuge, bodhicitta, and four immeasurables are as in the section on bodhicitta. Make each of them with clear focus, concentrated, and short in duration. Immediately after meditating on the four immeasurables, on the crown of your head, from Pam arises a lotus, and on top of the center of a moon disc from Ah. From Hum arises a white five-pronged vajra, marked at the center with Hum. From it, light radiates, offering to the noble ones, purifying the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings. It gathers back and dissolves into Hum. It dissolves into light and completely transforms, from which arises the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, white, with one face and two arms, holding a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left, embracing his consort. The consort, Vajra Kroddheshvari, white, holding a curved knife and a skull cup, in union with him. Both are adorned with bone ornaments and jewels, seated in the vajra and lotus posture. At the forehead, Om; at the throat, Ah; at the heart, Hum; at the navel, Hoh. From the Hum at the heart, light radiates, inviting the blessings and wisdom nectar of all the Buddhas. Ja Hum Bam Hoh, merging into non-duality. I pray that the Bhagavan purify and cleanse all the collections of sins, obscurations, faults, and defilements accumulated by me and all sentient beings from beginningless samsara. Om Shri Vajra Heruka Samaya, Manupalaya, Vajra Heruka Tvenopatishtha, Dridho Me Bhava, Sutoshyo Me Bhava, Anurakto Me Bhava, Suposhyo Me Bhava, Sarva Siddhim Me Prayaccha, Sarva Karma Suca Me, Cittam Shriyam, Kuru Hum Ha Ha Ha Ha Hoh, Bhagavan, Vajra Heruka Ma Me Munca, Heruko Bhava, Maha Samaya Sattva Ah Hum Phet. After reciting as much as possible, I am ignorant and deluded, I have transgressed and broken my vows. May the lama, the protector, save me! The chief, the Vajradhara, the embodiment of great compassion, I seek refuge in the chief of beings. All transgressions of the root and branch vows of body, speech, and mind, I confess. I pray that you bless and purify all the collections of sins, obscurations, faults, and defilements accumulated from beginningless samsara. Vajrasattva, father and mother, dissolve into light and merge into oneself. At this time, the dedication of merit is: By this merit, may I quickly
