The outer is, as the elaborate rituals described in all the Tantras are known. Therefore, here it is said: 'The fire offering of food and drink, is known as the outer.' Explaining the general fire offering arrangement of the Tantra divisions: The second part includes the general fire offering of the Tantra divisions and, in particular, the Kalachakra (Wheel of Time) fire offering. Regarding that, it says: 'Here one should understand the general fire offering of the Tantra divisions and the special one spoken of here.' The first part includes a brief introduction and a detailed explanation. The first part is: 'The outer aspect has four: pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating. Direction, time, equipment or posture method, firewood, fire, deity, mantra, and color are each different. All other common needs are common.' This means that, although there are many divisions of activities such as bewildering, stiffening, summoning, expelling, etc., according to the differences in the activities, as described in the Explanatory Tantra, the Vajra Garland, etc., summarized at the beginning of the fourteenth chapter of the Lamp Illuminating, all generally applicable secret mantras are summarized into four: pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating, and explained. For each of those, where to perform it and which direction to face, when to perform it, the practitioner's equipment and clothing, the thought and posture, the hearth, the firewood and branches, the fire, the fire deity, the mantra to be recited, and the color for the particular occasion are definite. Furthermore, there are also different mudras for pouring and holding, and fire shovels, etc. The vajra bell, nectar vase, yoga, etc., are mostly common. That is, all of these have common and peaceful three needs in common. The second part includes explaining the respective different aspects and explaining the common aspects. The first part includes direction and time, etc. The directions are east, north, west, and south. If there is a mandala, sit in that direction of the mandala and face that direction. Otherwise, face the east towards towns, etc. This means that east is for pacifying, north is for increasing, west is for magnetizing, and south is for subjugating. Although in some treatises the north and south directions are reversed, the time is dusk and dawn and morning and evening, or otherwise explained. That is, in the Action Tantra, etc., dusk is for pacifying, dawn (when crows do not crow) is for increasing, morning is for magnetizing, and evening is for subjugating. Also, dawn and morning are for increasing, and some say morning is for pacifying, dusk is for increasing, and noon and midnight are for subjugating. The latter is very consistent with Kalachakra. The equipment includes white clothes, adorned with shells, etc.; yellow clothes, adorned with gold, silver, and jewels; red clothes, adorned with red flowers; black clothes, adorned with black flowers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and destroying, in order. Cushions are like clothes, and banners and the like should also be understood. The mind should be gentle and subdued, loving, joyful, and praising, affectionate, compassionate, and attached, angry, combative, and awe-inspiring. The order of pacifying and so on is like this. The sitting postures are the lotus posture, the auspicious posture, the playful posture, mutually pressing, or extending the right leg. The feet are pressed against each other, and the others are easy to understand. In pacifying rituals, embrace with a soft posture, like a Brahmin reciting the Vedas. In subjugating rituals, the soles of the feet are touching, and some explain it as the lotus posture. The hearth is round, one cubit; four cubits, one and a half cubits; crescent-shaped, one cubit, three cubits, twenty fingers; the depth is half of each. Muran (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) and Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) are two types. For one cubit, four fingers and four fingers. For increasing rituals, double it, and for destroying rituals, three fingers and three fingers. On the Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), there are vajras, jewels, lotuses, and vajra divisions. The inner center has eight lotus petals, and their central marks are also these. In pacifying rituals, there is also a wheel. On the petals are the four families and the four mothers. The outer perimeter is marked with half a vajra. The hearth for increasing rituals slowly circles around. Thus it is said. All the upper and lower tantras say this about the size of the hearth, and Tibetan and Indian scholars have not seen any additions or subtractions. What the noble Rinpoche said is the size of a small hearth, and the large hearth for pacifying rituals is from two cubits to sixteen cubits, and the others should be applied accordingly. In terms of shape, the increasing ritual is like an octagonal jewel, and the subjugating ritual is like the source of hand mudras and lotus petals, as recorded in the sutras and so on. Muran (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) and Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思): The venerable master said it in reverse order. In the sutras and Kriya-samucchaya, removing four fingers is called Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and the name Muran (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) does not appear except for removing four fingers and so on. In the Kalachakra, 'mouth' is used instead of Muran (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), but in any case, the inner side of the inner altar faces outward, and what is indicated upward from the stove is the former, and what stands upward, the same as removing, and is raised outward, and the surface is decorated with marks is the latter. The Sanskrit word for the latter is Bedi, which can also be used on felt, so the Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) of the mandala is called 'felt', so the former is 'mouth' or Muran (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and the latter is Kakyer (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思). The noble one said Kakyer --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
