These Bodhisattvas and others, each leading retinues as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, surrounding them from front to back, then said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, our Bodhisattva retinues, each holding powdered incense, scented ointment, banners, flowers, and jeweled canopies, make offerings to the Buddhas of the ten directions, to aid the sentient beings of the Dharma-ending Age in cultivating the Great Wheel Dharani and to assist their virtuous merits. Good men, good women, Bhikshus, Bhikshunis, Upasakas, Upasikas, Brahmins, and others, who cultivate the scriptures and the secret Sutra Dharma-doors, those who hold mantras, and sentient beings of inferior capacity, may quickly attain the cause and effect. We, these Bodhisattva assemblies, also grant our approval, and may the Buddhas of the ten directions pat their heads and bestow predictions of Buddhahood. Those who recite this Dharani, this is the fundamental Dharma-door of countless Buddhas of the past. Those who recite this mantra can eliminate all karmic obstacles, and all fundamental sins will be extinguished. If sentient beings of inferior capacity, beginning on the first day of the first month, recite this divine mantra one hundred thousand times before the honored image, they will enter the Mandala, hang four banners of the Four Heavenly Kings, and place twelve Vajra banners in each of the four directions, and eight Bodhisattva banners. Place an image of Vairocana Buddha in the center, and make various offerings before the image, using three copper trays. Place various foods in the trays, and use copper bowls to hold rice cooked with milk and ghee. Six bowls per tray, place the bowl of rice, copper spoons, Buddha chopsticks, soup, and various offerings. In front of the image, draw a square altar four feet in diameter, smear it with fragrant mud, and write five colors on it, each five inches according to its original direction. In the center, place five new plates with round colors facing upwards, filled with fragrant water, and insert willow branches. On the south side of the altar, dig a hole in the ground to make a stove, one foot and five inches in diameter, and within one foot, make it in the shape of a lotus flower, and smear its interior with red mud. According to the previous five kinds of incense and ghee, etc., use a copper vessel, Sarala, to hold the ghee and incense, mix them together, and use a new copper spoon to chant this incense one hundred and eight times. English version The image (or statue) is one foot and five inches long. On the first day and night of each month, recite the mantra one hundred and eight times, and make offerings according to the previous specifications. For seven consecutive days, change the offerings twenty-one times. For seven days, there will be no wind or rain in the (practitioner's) realm, and ghosts and spirits will not appear. If Vajra Bodhisattva (Vajra Bodhisattva) does not appear, it indicates that the roots of sin are deep. Take the five kinds of incense mentioned earlier, mix and crush them, and mix them with honey to make pills. After reciting the mantra one thousand and eight times, take this incense, twenty pills on an empty stomach every morning, and wash them down with well water. Each time you want to take the medicine, recite the mantra twenty-one times over the water. Then, bathe the body with scented water, put on new and clean clothes, and recite the mantra and make offerings forty-nine times, then all the internal obstacles such as (the practitioner's) eye diseases can be eliminated. These beings of inferior capacity, from beginningless time, have misappropriated the property of the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), and often steal and commit sexual misconduct. All the virtuous and holy ones have suffered countless sins because of this. On a certain day of a certain month of a certain year, disciple so-and-so, today in front of the Buddha image, Vajra Bodhisattva (Vajra Bodhisattva) and the holy Sangha, I confess and repent. All the Buddhas (Buddhas) appear, and the Eight Classes of Gods and Dragons (Devas and Nagas) and all the spirits (spirits) come to provide and serve. All the great Bodhisattvas (Bodhisattvas) are constant companions. The mantra holder eats only one meal a day. Eating vegetarian food, using japonica rice and cheese to make rice, can gain physical strength and health. Going anywhere is smooth and successful, and everyone is respectful. What is said is believed and accepted by people. All wealth increases day and night. To practice asceticism and cultivate this Dharani (Dharani) secret Dharma treasure, one must always generate faith and reverence. In a clean and empty room, recite diligently day and night, and do not do other miscellaneous things. Uphold it wholeheartedly, and for this one lifetime, you will no longer suffer the pain of being born from the womb or the four forms of birth. Always gather with all the great Bodhisattvas (Bodhisattvas). If good men, good women, Bhikkhus (Bhikkhu), Bhikkhunis (Bhikkhuni), Upasakas (Upasaka), Upasikas (Upasika), Brahmins (Brahmin), etc., uphold, recite, and explain it to others, they will obtain immeasurable blessings. This sutra is the field of merit for sentient beings in the Age of Degenerate Dharma. From this, one can enter the Dharma gate of immeasurable hundreds of thousands of Dharanis (Dharani), and it is also the treasury of all sutras. Good men and good women, uphold and recite, and rub the soles of their feet on the (ground) in front of the Buddha image, then they will see the realm, all the sutra treasuries and all the treasure gods, Vajra Bodhisattva (Vajra Bodhisattva), teachers, Sangha, parents, and all the venerable images. After this person comes (from elsewhere) and sees this scene, he must keep his mouth shut and not tell anyone. If he tells anyone, his precepts will be broken.
