It is said in the scriptures, 'The kalpa is auspicious,' hence the name. Thereafter, an emanation of the perfectly complete Buddha Marmemdze (མར་མེ་མཛད, Dipamkara Buddha), the one thousand and two sons of King Yulkhor Kyong (ཡུལ་འཁོར་སྐྱོང་, Dhritarashtra), will bring forth the teachings of the Buddha. As stated in the Pundarika Sutra: 'Just as in each of the worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River multiplied by nine, the Great Compassionate One emanates as one thousand and two Buddhas to benefit sentient beings.' Starting with Vipashyi Buddha (རྣམ་པར་གཟིགས་) and Sikhin Buddha (གཙུག་ཏོར་མངའ་བ་), followed by Vishvabhu Buddha (ཐམས་ཅད་སྐྱོབ་), Krakucchanda Buddha (འཁོར་བ་འཇིག་), Kanakamuni Buddha (གསེར་ཐུབ་), and Kashyapa Buddha (འོད་སྲུང་), after these six have passed, this one is Shakyamuni Buddha (ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་). The beings and realms to be tamed are also the afflicted beings of the three thousand great thousand worlds. Because it is an unbearable world, it is called the Saha world. He comes to Vajrasana and other places, pervading eighty billion places in Jambudvipa, benefiting beings in the six realms. The Karuna Rolpa Nampar Gyalwai Sutra states: 'In the three thousand Saha worlds, in eighty billion places in Jambudvipa, he manifests perfect enlightenment to benefit sentient beings.' The manifestation of the teacher is not fixed, it is for the sake of taming the impure beings of the six realms. According to their respective appearances, he manifests in corresponding forms to tame them and benefit sentient beings. The Father-Son Meeting Sutra states: 'Sometimes in the form of Indra (རྒྱལ་བྱིན་) or Brahma (ཚངས་པའི་), sometimes in the form of Mara (བདུད་), he benefits sentient beings, which the world cannot comprehend.' Sometimes he shows birth, sometimes he turns the wheel of Dharma, sometimes he performs various actions. Emanation bodies can be divided into three types, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'Crafts, birth, and great asceticism.' Among them, the emanation of great Bodhi is Shakyamuni Buddha. There are three different views on this: the Hinayana believes that enlightenment is attained in this life; the Madhyamaka believes that one can attain the Bodhisattva path in one lifetime; the Tantric tradition believes that he is an emanation body. This is called the Buddha who manifests ultimate deeds, and is a supreme emanation. The sutra says: 'The secret essence of the body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas is supreme, the only one that can contain the true meaning of the world, is made by Maitreya, the protector of gods and humans (བྱམས་པ་མགོན་).' Then, he came to the summit of Mount Meru and observed five aspects: continent, country, city, lineage, and mother. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He gazes upon them. Then, he demonstrates the twelve deeds in the human realm. As stated in the 'Extensive Play Sutra': 'Departing from the Tushita Heaven, entering the womb, being born, mastering the arts, engaging in youthful play, enjoying the company of consorts and retinue, renouncing the world and practicing austerities, proceeding to the Bodhi tree, vanquishing the hosts of Mara and becoming enlightened, turning the wheel of Dharma, and demonstrating passing into Nirvana.' These are the twelve deeds demonstrated. The emanation of craftsmanship involves all activities that benefit the world, such as carpentry and sculpting, like the supreme craftsman Vishvakarman, or like the story of subduing the king of the Gandharvas, Rabga. The emanation of birth: all sentient beings are emanations of birth, as stated in the 'Samputa Sutra': 'Ten months are the earths themselves; sentient beings are the lords of the ten earths.' As mentioned in the 'Zhangdodé Kyérap', or like the story of transforming into a bird. The 'Precious Dense One' states: 'For those who are tamed by males, [he appears as] males; for those who are tamed by females, [he appears as] females.' And in 'Father and Son Meeting': 'He engages in the conduct of a young woman, and also exists in the realms of animals, unsoiled by worldly dharmas, like a lotus unstained by water.' Individual persons emanate as virtuous spiritual friends to benefit sentient beings. A qualified lama is the actual Buddha himself. The 'Source of Vows' states: 'The lama is the Buddha, the lama is the Dharma, likewise, the lama is the Sangha. To the supreme, holy lama, I prostrate with reverence.' It encompasses the Three Jewels. If he is a Buddha, it is unreasonable for him to grasp the five aggregates of appropriation and appear in the form of an ordinary person. If you say that, then Arya Deva's 'Collected Aphorisms' states: 'Just as the victorious ones abiding in the ten directions, though their bodies have no flesh, bones, or marrow, enter into the realms for the benefit of sentient beings and perform deeds through emanated bodies.' One emanation arises for each sentient being, just as one moon pervades each water vessel. How much does that emanation benefit sentient beings? Until samsara is empty. The scripture states: 'As long as space exists, even if one wanders in samsara for the sake of others, how can the compassionate ones be weary?' The appearance of the two teachers is that their essence is the same, but the way they appear to those to be tamed by the two vehicles is different, as stated in the 'Vajra Arali Tantra': 'Due to the difference between cause and effect, there is the Paramita Vehicle.'
