This is the so-called summary. From the perspective of the compilation of virtuous dharmas, it refers to the two verses such as 'supernormal knowledge'. The second part is divided into two situations: one is the realization of the selflessness of phenomena, and the other is the realization of the selflessness of the person. The first situation is: 'Unborn' and so on, one verse. The second situation is: 'Buddha' and so on, one verse. The third part is divided into two situations: one is aspiring to learn the six perfections, starting with giving, and the other is aspiring to perfect the six perfections. The first situation is: 'Grasping at self' and so on, one verse. The second situation is: 'Things' and so on, six verses. The second part is aspiring to accomplish these aspirations, that is, 'All Buddhas' and so on, one verse. The second part is the benefit of making such aspirations, that is, 'Practicing in this way' and so on, one verse. First, the meaning of the summary is explained to this extent. However, a second way of understanding the meaning of the summary also emerges in the mind, that is, to explain the meaning of the words together. Now, let's begin to explain the meaning of the words. By whom, for what purpose, and at what time was this aspiration made? The third part, regarding the meaning of the words, is: by whom, for what purpose, and at what time was this aspiration made? And what is the way of presenting the subject matter, and for what reason does it belong to which sutra? Explain the meaning of the text in detail. First, the venerable Maitreyanātha (Maitreya, 弥勒怙主), when he first generated the mind of enlightenment, was reborn as a bhikshu named Firm Intelligence. Because he loved all beings like an only child, he was named Maitreya. From then until he attained enlightenment at Vajrasana and did not show the manner of passing into nirvana, he was known as Maitreya. The time was when he was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past. The purpose is to perfect the aforementioned conduct of a Bodhisattva. The manner is in the six periods of day and night. The necessity of doing so is so that the precepts of a Bodhisattva do not exceed the prescribed time limit. Second, what is the way of presenting the subject matter, and for what reason does it belong to which sutra? In the second part, the subject matter is: the two views of selflessness, and generating the mind of enlightenment, and explaining the way of learning the six perfections. Among the three turnings of the wheel of Dharma, it belongs to the final 'Holy Ratnakuta Sutra'. Moreover, this is what our teacher (Shakyamuni Buddha) spoke of in the past, and the compilers collected it in that sutra. It is within that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
