It is also called 'Adornment,' or 'Supreme Adornment Pure Land.' So, what is the basis upon which this Supreme Adornment relies? It is a great lotus called 'Holding the Light of the Fragrant King Banner and Various Decorations.' From where does this lotus arise, and what is the basis upon which it relies? It is called 'The Essence of the Fragrant Ocean, Adorned with the Base Manifested from All Jewels.' Like this, the Buddha-fields of the Fragrant Ocean, whose number is equal to unspeakable extremely minute dust particles, what is the basis upon which all these limitless Fragrant Oceans rely? It is the wind mandala, which completely holds these Fragrant Oceans with the number of extremely minute dust particles of Mount Meru. Among all these wind mandalas, the lowest one is called 'The Basis that Universally Shows,' which is a basis called 'Adorned with the Blazing Light Radiating from All Jewels.' Above it is the wind mandala called 'Arising from Various Jewel Ornaments.' Similarly, there are also those called 'Power of Jewels,' 'Equally Showing Light,' 'Completely Adorned with All Ornaments,' 'The Basis Completely Immaculate and Completely Pure,' 'Emitting Sounds in All Directions and Universally Flowing,' 'Holding All Jewels,' and so on, until the uppermost wind mandala, which is called 'The Essence of Glorious Good Fortune.' As mentioned earlier, the limitless Fragrant Oceans each rely on this wind mandala. Among these Fragrant Oceans, in the central Fragrant Ocean, a great lotus called 'Having Decorations Adorned with Fragrance and the King of All Jewels' manifests, which is the banner of various forms of the bodies of all Bodhisattvas. On this lotus, twenty layers of worlds abide, called 'The Jewel Light Manifesting from All Directions of the World Boundaries,' which is surrounded by a retinue of unspeakable Buddha-field extremely minute dust particles. In the second realm called 'Splendor of Various Incense Lotuses,' the Tathagata named 'Supreme Light of Lion's Rays' resides. From there, the thirteenth world, this Sahā world, is where the Bhagavan Vairochana (all-illuminating) and the snowy sea (referring to Tibet) reside. From there, the twentieth world, named 'Radiant Jewel Light,' the Tathagata 'Glory Exceeding the Cloud of Merit' resides. Just as described, relying on the wind mandala called 'Essence of Excellent Glory,' from each of the immeasurable oceans of incense water, which cannot be counted, the central ones are adorned with countless jewel lotuses, and in the center of each of these are twenty worlds. Similarly, in each ocean of incense water, there are lotuses equal to the number of dust motes in the Buddha-fields, and on each lotus's stamen, there are twenty worlds. It is said that among these many distinct sets of twenty worlds, the place where the embodiment of Vairochana, the snowy sea, resides is considered the Ghanavyuha (dense array) realm. Apart from that, all other worlds with different names are described as emanation realms.
