When going to the southwest Kashmir region, one should bring essential necessities for life. After saying this, he departed without hesitation. 1-775 Because he felt it necessary to inquire about the prophecy, he asked. When Bachenpo's son, Barpa, was traveling to Kashmir, he caught a severe cold and rested for a few days. He said, 'I have a prophecy, come. Bachenpo, you are my own minister, it is inappropriate to send your son without informing me.' So he sent someone to invite Mangorwa Geden, and he came. He was sent off wrapped in twelve and a half taels of gold. He also taught the four stages of the Lamrim. He mastered them all at once. Lha Lama said, 'This will benefit the Dharma. Avalokiteśvara will compassionately protect you. We will meet in the Pure Land of the Dakinis.' He sent Rongchungpa Lodé and Kynorwa Drubpa as assistants. Fearing that he might die, they bid farewell from behind and did not go. There, he traveled with a Monpa named Manyukti, a person who knew the terrain, starting from Garsha, begging along the way. From then on, after one month and three days, they arrived in a region called Kerika. The companion Nyuktipa, fearing the hardships of the journey, bid farewell from behind and did not come. He and the servant wrapped themselves in dog skin and walked for three days, arriving at a large bridge called Maha Sangala. 1-776 There were three villages guarding the pass where tolls were collected. They gave about fifty conch shells and rested there for a night of fear. The next morning, after dawn, they crossed the bridge and continued on. When they had reached about two-thirds of the bridge, the companion suddenly fell seriously ill and was on the verge of death. He himself felt very tired and fainted. At this time, three corpse robbers were traveling and were about to meet. Suddenly, he remembered the Dakini who had prophesied in that place before, and she came and said, 'Child, get up! The patient is being obstructed by a Yakshini who dislikes the Dharma at the pass of the bridge. I have stopped her, so the illness will soon be cured. However, corpse robbers are coming! They are at the crossroads, pray to the Lama and the Yidam!' He woke up in fear, pulled the patient along, and while praying to the Lama and the Yidam, walked about forty steps. When he looked back again, the corpse robbers had arrived at the place where they had been staying, carrying weapons. By the protection of the Yidam and the blessing of the Dakini, they did not see him but took the right path.

Then, after a while, the patient also recovered. Free from the fear of robbers, he breathed a sigh of relief, and with a joyful heart, he crossed that mountain and proceeded. But there was no food to eat. As he walked along a path in the depths of the forest, he encountered two old women carrying bags of rice. He begged from them, and they each gave him four handfuls of rice. He cooked rice with the rice and ate his fill. Then, while saying words of blessing, he thought: 'These two old women must have appeared as mother and sister to help me. To repay their kindness, I should give the old woman a blessing for the next life.' He thought, 'I should repay their kindness and give the old woman a blessing for the next life.' So, he gestured to the old woman: 'Please give me a strand of your hair.' The old woman was very kind and gestured, saying: 'If needed, I can cut off all my hair.' At this time, he took out a container filled with the nectar of Avalokiteśvara (Tibetan: ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ།), and gestured, saying: 'This is for mixing (Tibetan: ཙེ་ཏྲི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: चेतृ, Sanskrit Romanization: cetṛ, Chinese literal meaning: motivation).’ The old woman was very happy, cut off a strand of hair and gave it to him, then prostrated, wiped her finger on her tongue, and cried, saying: 'This is cut off and gone.' Then she left. There, he also felt compassion and shed a tear. Later, in memory of the old woman, he built a Riti Stupa in Kashmir and planted many Bodhi trees (Tibetan: ཙེ་ཏྲི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: चेतृ, Sanskrit Romanization: cetṛ, Chinese literal meaning: motivation). After that, after walking for about half a day, he reached the border of Kashmir. He arrived at a place with seven Brahmin villages, where he stayed for a month and learned some of the local language. After that, after a day had passed, he continued on and met a naked yogi under a tree, who was playing a flute made of a human leg bone. The yogi hit the translator's head three times with the flute, and then disappeared into the depths of the forest, never to be seen again. Later he said that it must have been the accomplished Ratna Siddhi, that is, the accomplished Jewel Achievement (Tibetan: གྲུབ་ཐོབ་རིན་ཆེན་དངོས་གྲུབ།), who had come to bless him, but he did not recognize him and felt very regretful. After that, after walking a little further, he met a tigress. A sound of a human leg bone flute came from the depths of the forest, and the tigress was frightened and ran away. He said that he now knew that it was the blessing of the yogi, so he felt great reverence. After that, after walking a little further, he met many merchants, and he begged from them, and they gave him a lot of rice. After that, one night, he slept with all the merchants. Later, that night... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
