Biographies of Great Teachers NT12: The Wondrous Biography of the Noble Rinchen Zangpo 1-771 The Wondrous Biography of the Noble Rinchen Zangpo First, Lineage, to Third, Ordination The Wondrous Biography of the Noble Rinchen Zangpo. Om, may there be well-being and perfection!). Homage to the All-Knowing! To remember the kindness, and for the history to be reliable, I will briefly write the history of the Noble Rinchen Zangpo. In that, what is the lineage of the translator Bodhichitta, where was he born, where did he become ordained, how did he learn translation and how did he translate the Dharma, how were the residence and monastery built, what special deeds did he perform, and from where did he depart to the realm of the Dakinis, these are seven. First, the lineage. He is a descendant of Lha Nyima Hru, so he is also called Hru Hor. Because the maternal grandfather was connected with the Nagas, he is also called Klu Zor. Khache is the name of the country. The father was Banchenpo Yhonnu Wangchuk, and the mother was Jogroza Kunsang Sherab Den. They had four children, Sherab Wangchuk, Rinchen Wangchuk, Yonten Wangchuk. The sister was Kunsing Sherab Tsomo. The translator's name was Rinchen Wangchuk. The elder brother took charge of the household. The younger brother became ordained and passed away at a young age. The sister became a Bhikshuni, 1-772 studied and practiced the Mantras, attained accomplishment, and was the Yogini Chokyi Dronma. When the translator was in the mother's womb, the mother always saw: day and night, on the crown of her head, there was a small golden bird with turquoise claws, making various pleasant sounds, fluttering and staying. Then, when the time of birth came, the golden bird dissolved into the mother's crown. From the secret place, a golden Garuda with turquoise claws emerged, circled the mother three times, and then soared into the sky. After dreaming of these, a child with yellowish skin, a bird-like face, and a wheel mark on the palm of his right hand, was born on the tenth day of the last month of summer in the Horse year. At the age of two, he began to speak, saying 'A A I I', drawing on the ground, and clapping his hands and smiling. The father thought that he might be someone with karmic connections, so he dressed him in yellow clothes and made him a Upasaka. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secondly, regarding his birthplace: He was born in the area revered by his grandfather Yudra Tsongtsen, called Kyobang. Thirdly, regarding his ordination: At the age of thirteen, he was ordained by Khenpo Lekpa Zangpo. Within a month, he mastered the 'Three Hundred Verses' and its commentary. Fourthly, regarding how he studied translation: Fourthly, regarding how he studied translation: At the age of seventeen, a paṇḍita (Sanskrit: paṇḍita, scholar) from the region of Oddiyana came. He took a small cushion from his mother, and after the paṇḍita had eaten, he saw that the paṇḍita had left behind a beautiful Indian book. He thought, 'There must be special teachings hidden inside this.' But he did not understand Sanskrit, so he rested in the shade of a tree. As he fell asleep, in his dream, a woman with a reddish complexion, adorned with a precious diadem, decorated with silk pendants and necklaces, holding a handful of flowers in her left hand, and shaking a hand drum in her right. She came to his pillow and said, 'Just as a silkworm binds itself with its own saliva, attachment to one's homeland is to fall into the trap of demons. Anyone who desires happiness and liberation should go to the southwestern region of Kashmir.' Hearing these words, he woke up from his dream, feeling as if he had emerged from water, covered in sweat. His heart was also very agitated. Then he returned home. Afterwards, the translator thought in his heart, 'I have received the prophecy of a ḍākiṇī, and if I do not go to Kashmir, my life and Dharma will encounter obstacles. If I go, I am not familiar with the roads, and I will also disturb my parents' minds, which will bring bad influences upon me.' He was troubled by this. His mother saw that her son's face was paler than before, and asked him, 'Child, what is wrong? What unpleasant thing has happened?' He told her in detail what had happened before. Afterwards, his parents and siblings discussed it and concluded, 'If we do not let him go, there may be obstacles.' So they decided to let him go to the region of Kashmir. Afterwards, he entrusted a lay devotee named Apo Geshe Tsermo as a companion. In the year of the Pig, when he was eighteen years old, he set out, taking about six hundred conch shells, and his mother also sent him many delicious foods and prepared durable clothes. After setting out, he suffered a severe cold, delaying him for several days. Therefore, the guru in meditation saw Avalokiteśvara touching his heart with his finger, saying, 'A child born in the snowy land due to pure prayers will become the holder of the prophecy.' He has a face like the letter “ཡི་”(藏文,梵文天城体:ई,梵文罗马拟音:ī,汉语字面意思:seed syllable). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
