It is merely conceptual imputation. These internal and external phenomena arise only from causes, conditions, and interdependence. If one truly analyzes the nature of one and many with intellect, it is unattainable. All dharmas are of the nature of the quiescence of proliferation. In this very tantra, it is said: 'That in which things are non-things, and there are no characteristics of the two extremes, and in which there is no deliberation in the middle, the three times have passed like the sky.' Like that. In the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it says: 'Neither shore nor the other shore is a boundary, and there is no dwelling place between them, knowing that all times are equal, it is called the Perfection of Wisdom.' As such, the meaning is the same. The three times encompass all things. All things are primordially pure and of the nature of the quiescence of proliferation. This is my suchness. The suchness of the deities is also the same. Therefore, this equality of self and Buddha-nature is the basis of all appearances of conventional illusion. When practicing the yoga of self and deity from that basis, (arising from causes, conditions, and interdependence,) like the reflection of the sun and moon in a lake, appearing simultaneously without order, likewise, from the state of meditating in the purity of dharmata, in an instant, one meditates on the complete enjoyment body, fully endowed with all parts and a network of complete qualities. If one wishes to engage in conduct that accords with this (three) yoga, after meditating on oneself in this way, one should first meditate on emptiness in relation to thangkas and images, and then from that emptiness, generate the desired deity body. In this way, one should bless thangkas and images in accordance with the self-blessing, as it is said in accordance with both scripture and reason. Now, for the deities who are invited and dwell in the mandala, one should also bless and accomplish all armor, weapons, powers, and blessings in accordance with the self-blessing. This is the scriptural authority spoken in the Tantra of the Net of Magical Illusion.

Now, let's explain its source. During the self-blessing, it is said: 'Adorned with a mandala of light, possessing a network of parts, perfectly contemplate the wisdom hero.' After that, with hand mudras, perform armor, weapons, and so on. The five perfect Buddhas bestow empowerment, covering with crests and garlands. In accordance with what is said, it is also said that one should do this for the invoked deity. Raise the hand and circumambulate, invoke with an iron hook, and upon arrival, first bind the directions, and also offer the vows. After offering the seats separately, perform the act of offering oblations. Empowerment, weapons, armor, etc., with cymbals and other offerings as the essence. Having pleased in every way, let the yogi himself observe. So it is said. Here, the so-called empowerment is, as said earlier during the self-blessing: 'The five perfect Buddhas bestow empowerment, covering with crests and garlands.' In accordance with what is said, through the means of mantras and mudras, perform the crest empowerment that is non-dual with the nature of the five Buddhas, and also adorn and suspend that crest with a silk crest and garlands of flowers. 'Cymbals and other offerings as the essence.' This means, with cymbals such as conch shells and flutes, as well as whisks and cool whisks, banners, and a ground adorned with jewels of various colors, and a palace with stacked buildings, and after the aforementioned crest, earrings and necklaces, bracelets for the hands and feet, and placing five kinds of ornaments in five places on the body itself, and clothes such as upper garments and lower skirts, and then on top of that, umbrellas and banners, and the corners of the palace also decorated with garlands of lotuses and nets of tinkling bells, etc., these offerings should all be visualized and offered with mantras and mudras. For the actual displayed items, on top of them, praise the flowers with mantras and mudras and place them, and they will be even more blessed. It is also said elsewhere. Then, one should also perform the offering of the Vajra Song. These teachings as mentioned are, to bless and make auspicious.
