It is the same. The difference between sentient beings and Buddhas is not distinguished by the nature of phenomena. Just as the causes and effects of dreams appear separately, it is only due to the power of complete imputation that minds appear separately. Here someone asks: Although it is said that way in the scriptures, is it said literally? Because it is not certain whether it is said with a hidden meaning, if the purity of the nature of phenomena can be established, then it is not reasonable that the very nature of this phenomenon, which appears as a characteristic, is enlightened from the beginning. If that were the case, then all afflictions and samsara would also disappear forever. There is no reason for such a tenet to be established. If you say so, then, taking what appears as the realm of sentient beings as a measure, from beginningless time, due to the delusion of conceptual mind, establishing and refuting according to how it appears, such speculation, although it cannot establish profound and vast meanings, nevertheless, since the nature of phenomena is inconceivable, it is not that there is no way to realize it with individual discriminating wisdom. Therefore, for those who are happy to enter through faith alone, taking the scriptures and instructions as the measure, there is no fault in entering with a believing mind. If someone asks: If it is not established by reasoning, will they not enter? Then, for those people, it should also be established in accordance. In this regard, those phenomena are enlightened in the mandala of body, speech, and mind vajra, which is established by the reasoning of the nature of phenomena. As it is said in the sutra: Form is empty by nature. Why? Because its nature is such. It is said that all phenomena are pure by nature, and there is not the slightest impure phenomenon, which is the nature of all phenomena. Therefore, body, speech, and mind are also completely pure, which is their own nature, and complete purity is enlightenment. Therefore, body, speech, and mind, distinguished by complete purity, are inseparable, free from elaboration, and completely pervasive, so it should be understood that they are the very mandala of body, speech, and mind vajra. In this way, if it is established by the reasoning of the nature of phenomena, then there is no need to establish the remaining three reasonings, because it is the basis of the three reasonings, and it is the main one. Again someone asks: That nature of phenomena is not established for us, so it needs to be established by other reasonings.

If someone asks, that also needs to be established. Regarding this, the way actions work is: understanding the cause of things from the perspective of the result, just as observing that medicine and poison can produce the actions of life and death, understanding the action through the way it acts. Whoever meditates on the Vajra Mandala of body, speech, and mind will attain the accomplishment of purifying body, speech, and mind. Therefore, it is established by the reasoning that phenomenal dharmas act with the nature and power of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind. It is also not possible to achieve something merely by establishing it without relying on the power of things. For example, a precious jewel that has never been used as a condition for enjoyment, if someone obtains it but does not recognize the true jewel, treating it as an ordinary gem and not seeing its qualities. Later, someone points out the type of jewel, and after cleaning and offering it, the jewel manifests special qualities, and by observing the special actions, it can be determined that it is a jewel. Similarly, if the body, speech, and mind of ordinary beings are not regarded as divine and are not respected, then merits cannot be observed. Because by recognizing and respecting them, merits can be observed from that basis. It can also be established through the reasoning of dependence. Regarding this, the reasoning of dependence is: things are understood through the cause to realize the result. Regarding this, establishing arising, relying on the seed to establish the sprout; or establishing terminology, relying on the bad aspect to establish the good terminology. Similarly, all phenomena are manifestations of the nature of mind, therefore, relying on the cause of mind, it can be established that all pure and impure results arise. Therefore, all pure objects and impure objects are the result of the mind produced by habitual tendencies, so both can be established. Which of these two is mistaken or not mistaken is established by the intellect of dependence. Therefore, it must be determined that the pure object is the nature of appearance. Thus, if it is established by the three types of reasoning, there is no need to prove it by the reasoning of proving what is reasonable, just like apart from the nature of reality, cause, and effect.
