It is taught in the ground and path, and the ultimate intention of all vehicles is gathered in this. As the General Sutra says: "The teaching of immeasurable vehicles, according to different inclinations, is merely a means of guidance." Also, as the Root Tantra of Magical Illusion says: "The special arrangement of the grounds is the path to enter the secret essence." Also, as the Eighty Chapters of Magical Illusion says: "Just as rivers flow into the great ocean, in this great means of realizing the supreme meaning, all the liberation vehicles are gathered without exception." As it is said, it is known. In such a mantra vehicle, in this land, due to the order of translation, there are two schools, the new and the old, and the old secret mantra is six times superior to the new. Among them, the latter abides in the two streams of oral transmission and treasure transmission, which are the mind-blood of the all-knowing Padmakara, the life-stone of the three roots and oath-bound ocean, the heart-jewel of the vidyadhara siddhas, and the temporary and ultimate needs of all fortunate beings are accomplished as desired, without interruption of time. The lineage is close, so it is not contaminated by mixture, and it has the evidence of the treasure texts, so it is trustworthy and reliable. The warmth of the dakini's mouth has not disappeared, so the blessings are swift. Such a collection of the essence of all the profound treasures, the practice of ripening liberation empowerment of this great treasure of precious treasures, adorned with the practice of the vidyadhara lineage, is briefly described in six appendices: the identification of the nature of the empowerment to be taught, the qualities of the teacher who can teach, the examination of the vessel of the listener, the actual explanation of the practice appendix on how to practice teaching and listening, the necessary recitations, and other meanings. First, the identification of the nature of the empowerment to be taught: the Tathagatagarbha, the seed of the cause that naturally abides in the sentient realm, that is, by the power of the vajra master's ability and samadhi, and the power of the symbolic and expedient dependent arising of external, internal, and secret substances, the sudden defilements are removed, and the potential to ripen the Buddha's seed is placed in the continuum, just like a stone with gold ore.

One purifies defilements through methods such as smelting. Just as gold, before it is refined, inherently possesses the nature of gold but cannot perform the functions of gold, a wise person thoroughly cleanses the impurities through smelting. Like the finest gold that emerges, it can then perform the functions of gold. The essence of wisdom, the awareness of enlightenment, the supreme Bodhicitta, resides equally in all beings, but it is obscured by the defilements of ignorance. Removing these defilements allows the manifestation of self-arisen wisdom. The term Abhiṣiñcai (藏文,梵文天城体,abhiṣiñcai,Sanskrit Romanization: abhiṣiñcai, literal meaning: empowerment) implies washing away or eliminating defilements. The function of empowerment is to cleanse or wash away the defilements and habitual tendencies in the student's continuum. The term Abhiṣeka (藏文,梵文天城体,abhiṣeka,Sanskrit Romanization: abhiṣeka, literal meaning: empowerment) is explained as placement, that is, placing in the student's continuum the qualification to practice the path or the ability to ripen the fruit; hence, it is called empowerment. As stated in the Two Examinations, "What is called cleansing and pouring, therefore, is called empowerment." As the text says, the sequence of empowerment is to wash away the defilements that need purification and to enable the manifestation of the wisdom that is the result of purification. To guide those with faith, there is the beneficial empowerment; to guide the diligent, there is the empowerment of ability; to guide the ascetics, there are the profound empowerments, and so on. Furthermore, the wisdom of the body, speech, and mind of the deity enters, enabling the accomplishment of the three secrets, granting permission, blessings, entrustments, etc., in various elaborate and concise ways. These methods also vary according to the individual's capacity, being divided into lower, middle, upper, and supreme. Through maṇḍalas, thangkas, colored powders, body maṇḍalas, mudras, or words, the student's three doors are matured into the three vajras, and the methods of empowerment that enable the practice of common and supreme secret approach, accomplishment, and various activities are elaborated or condensed according to the tantras, sadhana practices, oral transmissions, pith instructions, and the lineages of individual masters. Secondly, regarding the expounder—the teacher: it is best to have mastered wisdom, be able to bestow empowerment in the illusory maṇḍala, and understand the student's capacity.
