I am at a loss for words because my hope is exhausted. Since beginningless time, I have had thick imprints, And because of long familiarity and weak antidotal power, I have fallen into the net of the three doors' delusions. How could I transform wondrous tales into a theatrical performance? However, due to past karma and immediate circumstances, I could not accomplish it single-mindedly, but if I record the traces And related history, it will be meaningful for future generations, So said the Vajra Master. In response to the repeated requests of disciples Who possess knowledge, love, and devotion, I record here the various aspects that make scholars laugh, Esteeming them as precious jewels. In general, the term "liberation" comes from the Sanskrit word " विमोक्ष (vimokṣa, vimoksha, liberation)", meaning "complete liberation" or "emancipation." It refers to the history of how an individual, with pure faith, is liberated from the state of evil destinies; how a middling person, with pure renunciation, is liberated from the ocean of samsara; and how a superior person, with pure higher intention, is liberated from the two extremes of existence and non-existence. In short, it refers to the wondrous history of how one liberates oneself from suffering and its causes, and liberates others from bondage. The purpose of telling it in this way is to see that reason and to generate any of the three types of faith in the minds of the hearers. When that is generated, it awakens the power of the lineage and plants the seed of liberation. Therefore, the sutra says: Faith is the door through which all the Buddha's teachings appear. It also says: Ananda, cultivate faith! This is the request of the Thus-Gone One. So it is said. Furthermore, the biographies of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the assembly of Shravaka Arhats, and the scholars, accomplished ones, and virtuous spiritual friends who have appeared in India and Tibet are difficult to hear even in the ears of the unworthy. However, if heard, they lead to immediate and long-term benefit and unsurpassed happiness. Therefore, the noble beings of the past have made it a practice to teach the Jataka tales of the Buddha as the main part of public Dharma talks. The Lord of Refuge, the All-Knowing Tara, said: If one is a noble person, wherever they go, they will increase faith and great compassion. The four directions and eight

being gentle and having little hatred, it is necessary for beings to have a continuum that is gentle and smooth. Faith and compassion have diminished, and partiality, attachment, and hatred have increased. Therefore, if quarrels, disputes, fights, etc., become rough and chaotic, it is a sign of an unwholesome spiritual friend, as stated in the scriptures. Even if one only generates a little faith in the liberation stories of the holy ones and explains them to other sentient beings, even a single instance of faith and respect can plant a seed of goodness and will surely become something of great significance. This is because these are related to meaningful bodhicitta and aspirations. The actual object that can inspire such faith is the qualities that are in accordance with the Dharma of that person. And those qualities, such as the power and wealth of lineage, dominion and glory, enjoyment and fame, etc., have become external to the teachings of the Buddha, and therefore are taught as worldly dharmas to be abandoned. However, the wisdom of the wise, the realization of the accomplished ones, and the deeds of benefiting the teachings and beings are the supreme qualities of the followers of the Victorious Ones, but they seem rare in this degenerate age. Gampopa Chökyi Wangchuk said, "I think there are many who call themselves practitioners, but if the inner practice, the outer conduct, and the qualities that arise from them are not consistent, I am not very convinced. Nowadays, those who claim to be proficient in reasoning, those who claim to be monks who have perfected their monastic discipline, and those who claim to have grown old in the mountains after meditating, have hardly stopped the edge of worldliness. There are many who say that they practice asceticism after attaining accomplishment. The Buddha said that I and those like me can measure people. Therefore, I will not slander all of these, except for pure appearances. At that time, through asceticism, one can say that one is progressing on the path of practice and realizing the path of seeing." Therefore, the practitioners of the practice path of mantra practice asceticism in order to advance to the path of seeing, but we do not have such fortune to accomplish for the time being, so we need a practice that is in accordance with our own continuum. Renunciation of all worldly things, accomplished ones, and those with clairvoyance
