In order to unite with the absence [of inherent existence], the noble beings of the past made it a practice to teach the Jataka tales of the Buddha as the main subject of street sermons. The venerable omniscient Tara Protector once said that if someone is a noble being, then wherever they go, the people there should have greater faith and compassion, less bias and attachment, and the minds of the people should become gentle. If faith and compassion diminish, bias, favoritism, and attachment increase, leading to quarrels, debates, fights, etc., and the mind becomes coarse and chaotic, then that is a sign of an unwholesome spiritual friend. Therefore, even if one only understands a little bit from the biographies of the noble ones, keeps it in mind, and conveys it to other sentient beings, even if only a single moment of faith and reverence arises, it will sow the seeds of goodness and will surely become meaningful. This is because they are associated with meaningful bodhicitta and aspirations. The real subject matter that can inspire such faith is the qualities of that person that are in accordance with the Dharma. And these qualities, such as the power of lineage, wealth, power, glory, enjoyment, fame, etc., are all things that are outside the Buddha's teachings, and therefore are taught as worldly dharmas that should be abandoned. But the wisdom of the wise, the realization of the accomplished ones, and the deeds done for the sake of the teachings and sentient beings are the supreme qualities of the followers of the Victors, but they are rare in this degenerate age. Gar Dampa Chokyi Wangchuk said, "I think there are many people who say they are practitioners now, but if the inner practice, the outer behavior, and the qualities that arise from them cannot be consistent, I don't quite believe it. Now those who claim to be experts in logic, those monks who claim to have perfect discipline, and those practitioners who claim to have grown old practicing in the mountains are only barely maintaining their lives. And there are many who claim to have attained accomplishment and practice asceticism. The Buddha said that only I and those like me can measure others. Therefore, apart from pure appearances, I will not make false accusations. At that time, through asceticism, one can pass through the path of application."

It is said that it can be seen from there. It is said that because the practitioner of the yoga path of mantra practices asceticism in order to abide in the path of seeing, we do not have such accomplishments through fortune for the time being, so we need a practice that is in accordance with our own continuum. If one pretends to be someone who has renounced everything, an accomplished one, someone with clairvoyance, etc., one may only gain some fame in the eyes of foolish worldly people for a while. It would be best if both fame and merit could be obtained, but if that is not possible, one must dedicate oneself to merit. This is said with the examples and meanings that appear in the scriptures. Like this, if one has the qualities spoken of in the Dharma, then no matter whether the person seems good or bad, one should respect them and they are worthy of being a lama. As Avalokiteśvara said: The wise respect qualities, not Buddhas, power, etc. Whoever respects those without qualities, that fool is born from non-virtuous deeds. Therefore, not relying on the person, but relying on the Dharma or qualities, is the greatness taught by all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. However, here, I have no familiarity or closeness with any of the qualities that are worthy of praise in both Dharma and worldly ways, so there is nothing worthy of writing and nothing worthy of recording that can be told. Nevertheless, considering some images of practitioners in the degenerate age, their entrances and behaviors in Dharma and politics are like the changeable weather of summer, and in the end, the results of their own and others' actions vanish like the mist of late autumn. If one can concentrate one's thoughts on one goal and leave unwavering footprints, there are only deeds like lotus seeds that can be told. That is, having obtained the support of leisure and endowment without defects, the four wheels of favorable conditions are naturally complete, and the fruit of applying oneself to listening, thinking, and meditating as much as possible, starting from the accomplishments that symbolize the three wheels of abandoning, reading, and working, I will briefly tell about it. First, the place where this body's support resides is: the vast land of Tibet is divided into upper, middle, and lower regions, and this belongs to the middle region. Among the six ranges divided by the four great rivers, it belongs to the Salmo Gang surrounded by the two rivers, Drigung and Yarlung. Among the twenty-five great sacred places of Do Kham, it belongs to one of the eight great emanation sacred places of activity taming, the Lotus Lhatse, the place tamed by the Lotus family.
