The three vows of the inner, I will firmly hold. In order to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings, I will generate the aspiring mind and the entering mind, I will generate the ultimate supreme mind. The supreme lineage of the Sugata's body, the Vajra lineage and the Jewel lineage, the Lotus lineage and the Karma lineage, the lineage assembly Great Compassionate One, I will follow the vows. The blessings of body, speech, and mind, and the supreme empowerment, please grant them to me. Thus, take the vows three times. Give nectar with the three syllables (oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Om Ah Hum, body, speech, and mind). Visualize the Great Compassionate One, inseparable from the teacher and the front generation, either as the main deity alone or with the retinue. The light from the teacher's heart purifies the disciple's body. Generate the main deity as in the sadhana. Bless the three places. Urged by the light of the heart, visualize all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions being invited like a blizzard, and dissolving from the crown of the head. Recite the six-syllable mantra followed by jñāna ābeśaya a ā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, wisdom enter ah ah), and with incense and music, let the blessings descend and stabilize. With oṃ pratīccha vajra hoḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Om Accept Vajra Hum), let the flowers be offered. Then, for the sake of the actual empowerment, offer the mandala. Request the teacher, the embodiment of all Buddhas, and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to consider me. Request that the vase empowerment be granted to me, who is called so-and-so. Request that I be completely ripened. Request that my body be ripened by the outer vase empowerment. Thus, pray three times. Visualize that the teacher and the deities of the mandala are inseparable, and that the empowerment is given by the water of the vase. The auspicious vase is the palace of the gods, the abode where the assembly of the Great Compassionate One resides, the water of the non-dual Bodhicitta, by empowering the fortunate son of the lineage, may the obscurations of body, speech, and mind be purified, may I ripen into the body of the Great Compassionate One. oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ oṃ āḥ hūṃ kāya abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Om Mani Padme Hum Om Ah Hum Body Consecrate Hum). Thus, by empowering, the stream of vase water fills the entire body, purifies the five poisons, transforms the five aggregates, and manifests the realization of the five wisdoms. Visualize that the remaining water overflows from the crown of the head, and that the five Buddha families adorn the head.

Bhiṣiñca hūṃ! Reciting this, the head ornament is tied. Thus, through the vase empowerment, the impurities of the body are purified, one has the authority to meditate on the deity, and one is made capable of attaining the Nirmāṇakāya. Again, offer a maṇḍala. Teacher, the essence of all Buddhas, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please consider me. Please grant the secret empowerment to me, who is called by this name. Please ripen speech through the secret empowerment. Thus, one prays with supplication. Taking the nectar pill from the mirror, the white and red Bodhicitta are skillful means and wisdom. The supreme essence, the supreme taste of nectar, generates bliss. The non-dual union of father and mother, Bodhicitta, for the fortunate son of the lineage, having bestowed the empowerment, may the tongue taste the supreme taste of nectar, and may body, speech, and mind generate bliss. Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ and mahā bodhicitta mahā sukha abhiṣiñca āḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanized, Chinese literal meaning). With this, the nectar pill and the madana of the skull cup are poured. Thus, having tasted the nectar, the entire body is filled with nectar, the conceptual thoughts of the three poisons cease, and one thinks that the wisdom of bliss is born. Through the secret empowerment, the impurities of speech are purified, one has the authority to recite mantras, and one generates the realization of attaining the Sambhogakāya. Again, offer a maṇḍala. Teacher, the essence of all Buddhas, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please consider me. Please grant the wisdom-jñāna empowerment to me, who is called by this name. Please ripen the mind through the wisdom-jñāna empowerment. Thus, one prays with supplication. From the letters of sindhūra, the teacher takes with the ring finger, makes a bindu at the heart, and presents the mirror. Pure, clear, and without impurity, the clear emptiness, without grasping, one's own mind. By showing this co-emergent wisdom, may one be endowed with the wisdom-jñāna empowerment. Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ and bodhicitta jñāna abhiṣiñca āḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanized, Chinese literal meaning). Thus, through the cause of conventionality, by joining with the unchanging place of ultimate reality, one thinks that the wisdom of the union of bliss and emptiness is born. Through the wisdom-jñāna empowerment, the impurities of the mind are purified, one has the authority to meditate on the wisdom of great bliss, and one generates the realization of attaining the Dharmakāya. Again, offer a maṇḍala. Teacher, the essence of all Buddhas, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please consider me.
