The Sadhana and Empowerment of the Great Compassionate King Who Subdues Beings. The Sadhana and Empowerment of the Great Compassionate King Who Subdues Beings. Oṃ svasti. To the one who is the gatherer of all the victorious ones, the lord of the world who tames beings, I bow down to that great treasure of compassion, and briefly write down the method of accomplishment and empowerment. Here, in the King's Collection of Teachings, there are three aspects related to the method of accomplishment and empowerment of the four-armed Great Compassionate One: first, the arrangement of preparatory materials; second, the actual method of accomplishment; and third, the ritual of empowerment. First, the arrangement of materials: at a special time, the dwelling is beautifully decorated. A mandala painted on cloth is spread on a covered platform. In the center, a vase filled with essence and complete with ornaments is placed. To the east, a torma offering decorated with the three white things and so on is placed. To the south, a crown. To the west, on top of a skull cup mixed with alcohol and molasses, a mirror is placed with a dharma origin of sindhura painted on it, along with the letter Hrīḥ. On top of that, pills made from red and white bodhicitta, nutmeg, and saffron mixed with the three sweets are arranged, equal to the number of students. To the north, statues and tsakli of mantra labels are placed. The scriptures, conch shell, and dharma staff are arranged in whatever direction is convenient. The surroundings are beautifully adorned with offerings. In addition, all the necessary materials for the activity vase, vajra, bell, flowers, torma, etc., should be gathered below. Second, the method of accomplishment, with refuge and bodhicitta as the preliminary: In one's own heart, on top of a lunar disc made of the letter A, is a white Hrīḥ. From that, rays of light emanate. All the gurus and the assembly of deities of the Great Compassionate One, along with all the Buddhas and their sons, are invited and abide in the sky in front. I invite all the gurus who reside in the three times, and the assembly of deities of the mandala of the Great Compassionate One, and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, along with their sons, to come from their natural abode. I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind. Please accept the excellent offerings, both actual and mentally created. From past lives until now, I confess all the sinful deeds I have done. I rejoice in the virtuous roots accumulated by beings, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas in the three times. I request you to turn the wheel of Dharma, which has been spoken by the Buddhas of the three times, for all sentient beings.

Oṃ! Not doing deeds for the benefit of beings, wishing to pass into Nirvana, I request you to remain for the benefit of beings. Whatever roots of virtue I and others have accumulated, may I attain the unsurpassed, perfect Bodhi. Recite this or any suitable regular confession. Vajra Muḥ (Tibetan: བཛྲ་མུཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र मुः, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra muḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Diamond Mu) Invite the assembly of holy beings. Meditate in accordance with the four immeasurables. Oṃ Svabhāva Śuddhaḥ Sarva Dharmāḥ Svabhāva Śuddho'ham (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཱ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅་ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ स्वभावा शुद्धः सर्वधर्माः स्वभावा शुद्धोऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, self-nature pure, all dharmas, self-nature pure, I.) By this mantra, purify all dharmas into emptiness. From emptiness, from Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Fire) arises a sun disc. From Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hūṃ) arises a multicolored vajra marked with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hūṃ), from which rays of light emanate. All directions are pervaded by a vajra protection tent and the blazing fire of wisdom. In the center of the protection circle, from Bhrūṃ (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Bhrūṃ) arises a square mansion with four doors, complete with all characteristics such as staircases. On the outside above is adorned with a thousand-spoked wheel. The base below is a thousand-petaled lotus. Within it, the lotus has four petals and twelve petals, arranged in order, with a lotus and stacked moons arising from Paṃ (Tibetan: པཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: पं, Sanskrit Romanization: paṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Paṃ) and A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese Meaning: A) on the center and petals. In the corridors and four doors are single lotuses equal to the number of deities. On the central seat, from Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hrīḥ) arises a white lotus marked with Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hrīḥ), from which light emanates and gathers. Visualize yourself as the noble Avalokiteśvara, with a white body, one face, and four arms, the first two hands joined in prayer at the heart. The lower right hand holds a crystal rosary, and the lower left hand holds the stem of a white lotus. Having a beautiful smile, gazing with peaceful eyes. Having a topknot of matted hair. Wearing various silk upper garments and lower skirts, adorned with all precious jewels. Seated in the vajra posture. Having the fullness of marks and signs, residing as the embodiment of radiating immeasurable light and rays. In front of the inner four lotus petals, from Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hrīḥ) arises the six-syllable mantra identical to the main deity, having the attire of a goddess and a graceful demeanor. On the right is the Jewel-Holding Goddess, white, the right hand holding a jewel and the left hand holding a rosary. On the left is the Knowledge-Mantra-Holding Mother, white, the right hand holding a crystal rosary and the left hand holding a lotus. Both are gazing at the face of the main deity, kneeling on one knee, abiding in a respectful posture. Behind is red Amitabha, having the attire of a Nirmanakaya, in meditative equipoise.
