When (he) was doing many things, the teacher also went to visit the illness. The monarch also got up and bowed, saying: I have encountered many obstacles, please grant the blessing to eliminate these obstacles. Although the profound Dharma was always taught to the monarch, the teacher was displeased with the matter of using witchcraft and Bon to eliminate obstacles, so he said to the monarch: Your Majesty, I have taught all the profound teachings to the prince, but you don't seem to remember them. Now please remember this: all dharmas need antidotes, and when antidotes are needed, everything is emptiness. No matter what terrifying景象 appears, remember to take refuge in the Three Jewels. No matter what you are doing, remember the teacher on your head. If there is no patience and bodhicitta, remember that the root of Mahayana Buddhism has rotted. When giving alms, if stinginess arises, remember the suffering of the hungry ghosts. When practicing brahmacharya, if greed arises, remember the corpse-filled hell. When practicing patience, if anger arises, remember the hell of being burned in an iron chamber. If laziness and懈怠 arise, remember that life is passing away without stopping for a moment. The alternation of day and night, remember that this is the wear and tear of life. The recitation of guarding vows, remember six times day and night. Lying down like a corpse in ordinary times, remember that this is worse than an ox. Having obtained a human body but without the Dharma, remember that this is more pitiful than a leper. Knowing good and evil, but not fearing the consequences of karma, remember that I am crazy. Even if a small karmic consequence of sin appears, remember that suffering is like a mountain. For small good deeds, cherish them like your heart. If you think of killing, remember killing your parents and children. If you think of greed, remember being reborn as a womb worm. If you think of taking what is not given, remember that your livelihood will be cut off. If you think that a person like me will have no Dharma, and thus be discouraged, remember that the Buddha himself was also the potter's son, Light. If you are complacent because of arrogance and pride, know that the omniscient one has immeasurable merits.
