In the subsequent catalog, it says: "The essence of the three kayas' wisdom, condensed and shown here, do not abandon and practice diligently, practice as equal to life." As it is said, when obtaining this ultimate intention of the victors, one must practice. If one does not practice, what are the faults? It says in that itself: "Among all sentient beings in the six realms, obtaining leisure is extremely rare, this too is impermanent and quickly perishes, therefore the result of karma is not deceiving, the suffering of samsara is unbearable, having experienced prosperity and decline for a long time, definitely generate weariness and renunciation." As it is said, now when obtaining such a close path, if one does not practice, one will surely die quickly, one will surely fall into samsara, one will surely wander in the lower realms. Therefore, now is the time to do great kindness to oneself, in any case, one will not obtain a human body, even if one obtains it, one does not know whether one will obtain such a one with eight leisures and ten endowments. Even if one obtains leisure and endowment, let alone obtaining the key to enlightenment in one lifetime, it is extremely difficult even to hear the name, so one must practice diligently. That is, if one can think well about the difficulty of obtaining leisure, the impermanence of death, the infallibility of karma, and the suffering of samsara, then one will be extremely weary of samsara, and if the renunciation of fearing death is not strong, then the root of Dharma will rot. Therefore, among them, constantly remembering the impermanence of death to encourage oneself, then a pure renunciation will arise, so it is extremely important to meditate on impermanence. If one can truly remember the impermanence of death, then the thought of never doing illegal things will arise, so one needs to examine one's own mind well. Cultivating one's mind for a long time with the mind of renunciation, or immediately generating an irreversible renunciation is fine. As it is said, "I take refuge in the Three Jewels, abandon the ten non-virtuous deeds of body, speech, and mind, and generate the supreme Bodhicitta." As it is said, from the fear of samsara, no one can save except the Three Jewels, so put all hope in the Lama Three Jewels, abandon the ten non-virtuous deeds of the self-nature of the three doors of affliction, then one will surely obtain self-liberation. However, it is not enough to just obtain one's own peace and happiness, merely pursuing self-interest is far from obtaining omniscience. Therefore, just like the kindness of the root parents is as heavy as a mountain,

Therefore, all sentient beings are kind parents. In order to benefit them, I will quickly attain perfect enlightenment. If you do not constantly have such a thought, do not even think about becoming a secret mantra practitioner, you cannot even become a Mahayana practitioner, so develop bodhicitta well. If someone like me wonders whether or not they can attain Buddhahood, the answer is yes. In the Garland of Jewels Sutra, it says: "The Tathagata-garbha pervades all beings, and all these beings are the cause of Buddhahood." Just as sesame seeds are the raw material for sesame oil, sentient beings have the essence of the Tathagata, so they will definitely attain Buddhahood. Although it is the cause of Buddhahood, if you do not develop the mind of enlightenment, it is like a seed not meeting the field. Therefore, from the moment you develop the supreme mind of enlightenment, you are a son of the Buddhas, and the benefits such as the constant increase of merit are immeasurable. For the obstacles to cultivating and growing the sprout of bodhicitta, such as anger, etc., you must abandon them, that is, keep the precepts and do not do evil deeds. For favorable conditions, such as cultivating patience, etc., you must cultivate them, that is, accumulate virtuous dharmas. For what is needed, such as giving, etc., you must practice the discipline of benefiting sentient beings, and protect them well. Secondly, the uncommon preliminaries are: When practicing the path, it is very important to rely on a qualified spiritual friend. In particular, the attainments of the secret mantra Vajrayana depend on the Vajra master. Especially Ati Dzogchen, it relies solely on the blessing and transference empowerment of the lama. As it says in the later part of the Karma Tho: "After relying on the excellent and holy lama, request all the instructions on the generation and completion stages, and with the perception of the lama as the actual Buddha, firmly take unwavering faith." Therefore, as soon as you see the lama as the Buddha, you will attain Buddhahood. If you see him as an ordinary person, your own mindstream will not change from being an ordinary person. Whether or not you attain Buddhahood depends on your faith in the lama. Therefore, relying on the lama properly with the perception of the lama as the actual Buddha is the root of the path. If the lama has skillful and profound instructions, and the disciple has immeasurable faith, then the path will be shortened. If the lama is not skillful, and only has empty words without instructions, and the disciple's mind is impure, then the path will become long, and there is a danger of becoming a stone in the abyss of samsara due to breaking vows. Therefore, the distance of the path depends on the good or bad relationship between the lama and the disciple.
