I am like fire and heat at the same time, so all appearances and sounds are part of skillful means, and the absence of inherent existence is wisdom. Because of non-duality, the mind is the Dharmakaya, vast and all-pervading. That very nature is unborn from the beginning, and its essence is pure. Defilements and conceptual thoughts should be abandoned, but there is no need to abandon them with antidotes. There is no need to not conceptualize and cultivate merits. Because the wisdom of suchness is liberated as pure without being abandoned, samsara and nirvana, conceptualization and Dharmakaya, defilements and wisdom, sentient beings and Buddhas, no matter what names are given, their meaning does not go beyond the single nature of mind. Therefore, these have no good or bad in their nature, no before or after in time, and no difference in their dwelling place. The three times are equal, one taste, and non-dual. From the beginning, it is pure, emptiness is free from all elaboration, and that meaning beyond the mind is called vipashyana, which manifests all the qualities of knowledge. Thus, the naturally pure essence of the realm is the Sugata-garbha. From the Buddhas of the three times above to the worms in the grass below, there is no big or small, good or bad. In the equality of the three times, it is spontaneously accomplished and dwells without interruption. However, those who have not realized this also cling to the various appearances as their own nature. Due to the ignorance of grasping and being grasped, they wander in samsara. There is no prior mixture between samsara and nirvana. It arises from the momentary clarity and ignorance of time. Fifth, by deciding the limits of error and obscuration, it is shown that there is no action and it is beyond mind: Even if you know that the appearances of the six aggregates are to be meditated upon, if you do not decide the limits of pride and attachment, you will go to the place of error or shadow. By letting the three of virtue, non-virtue, and unspecified be contemplated, if there is still a subtle part of virtue, sin, and grasping, then the limit is still undecided. What kind of practice should you be diligent in and remove the direct obstacles? When the signs of dualistic grasping, such as virtue and non-virtue, samsara and nirvana, good and bad, are exhausted, and there is no calculation of anything, and there is no hope or fear, the grasping mind is beyond mind, like the center of the sky. If it is decided that there is no difference between the temporary and the ultimate, then it is not putting it in a mold, but naturally removing the poison, but directly throwing it in. There is no distraction in the directness of samadhi. After doing so, if you still relax in the original nature, then it is the state of error and obscuration.

Therefore, having thoroughly ascertained, there is not even the slightest clinging to concepts, and one cultivates in a state of non-action, beyond mind. The way to ascertain this is: the nature of uncorrected, self-luminous essence, naked and vivid, this very essence shines clearly and without obstruction, transcending the mind that clings to "non-existence," thereby cutting off the straying into the extreme of nihilism; however it appears, it is not established by anything else, thus transcending the mind that clings to "existence," thereby cutting off the straying into the extreme of eternalism; uncorrected, vast and expansive, not falling into any side, thus transcending the mind of "existence" and "non-existence," thereby cutting off the straying into clinging to dualistic experience. Such a mind-essence, free from extremes, is not harmed by sins; because one knows that the appearance of existence is the play of mind, the afflictions and cognitive obscurations are naturally purified in their own place, free from the stain of doubt about falling into samsara; samsara is one's own mind, the dharmakaya. Merit does not add any benefit to it; one's own mind is the dharmakaya from the beginning; nothing can change it, because the meaning of being primordially such has manifested, so one is also free from the stain of hoping for another good Buddha outside; all of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, is one's own mind, clear and empty like the sky, without distraction or non-distraction, without meditation or non-meditation, continuously, abiding in uncorrected, spontaneously accomplished state, even if one tries to make it disappear, one cannot do it, one cannot make any calculations of separation or union, because it is non-action, beyond mind, so it is called unborn mahamudra. Sixth, bringing the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished non-meditation to exhaustion: one's own mind is the dharmakaya, the unborn wisdom. Pervading all and not being form, without partiality and without gathering or scattering, without cessation and without increase or decrease, the essence is completely pure like the center of the sky, not arising from causes and conditions, clear and knowing but without obstruction, the root of all samsara and nirvana, is this very ordinary awareness. Cause—sentient beings, path—yoga, result—Buddha, these three in time also have no difference of good or bad, before or after, even now it is like this, without any deficiency, without any loss, therefore, sentient beings will not become worse because of foolishness, Buddhas will not become better because of cleverness. Meditation will not make it better, and non-meditation will not make it worse; this is not something that suddenly appeared, its nature is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, naturally present, past, present, and future, existing without time, therefore one cannot prove its existence, nor can one abandon its non-existence, the essence is not
