Nana! There is no benefit to a samadhi that lacks sharpness. To eliminate it, food and clothing should be light, and the temperature should be balanced. Reside in a place where the temperature is moderate, and with awareness, raise the mind with "PHAṬ" (藏文,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪). Again, entrust it to the very one who wanders, because its nature is unborn. By merely entrusting it to that, it will be pacified in its own place. As a vow, do not meditate on darkness and shadows. To enhance its effectiveness, look like a middleman, like the upper part of the eye. In the space in front, leave awareness uncorrected in a state of ease and clarity, and experiences and signs of ease, clarity, and radiance will arise. Keep those three in equanimity in whatever is comfortable, and sometimes meditate with the attitude of vast space. Afterwards, if a thought arises, do not abandon it. Lengthen the habitual tendencies, do not cut off the traces of the past, do not welcome the future because of the increase of desire, and do not fabricate the present because it is easy to become familiar with confusion. Abide loosely in a state of non-elaboration and beyond mind, and the thoughts will be purified in their own place. By meditating diligently in this way, those with great ability will completely cut off thoughts and know the equality and post-meditation as inseparable. In the meantime, there may also be an understanding of the mind. Even those with lesser abilities will turn away from attachment to the phenomena of samsara, see the lama as a buddha, or have the experience of not desiring meditation and renunciation. The signs are that the outer body is not felt to exist, the inner breath is not remembered to move, and the secret is that good experiences of ease, clarity, and non-conceptuality arise, and the qualities of realization will gradually appear. Third, the wisdom of the Khenpo's cutting through, nakedly showing the nature of reality, is to recognize the movement of post-meditation from the very state of uncorrected equanimity. If you are attached to the thick experience of calm abiding, you will not recognize the nature of reality if the movement of post-meditation does not arise. Do not let conceptual thoughts enter into thoughts, and if thoughts arise, you will not be able to meditate. If you think like this, thoughts will come in a confused manner because of that interdependence. Therefore, whatever coarse, subtle, or large movement of habitual conceptual thoughts arises, do not regard it as a fault, and do not abandon it. Instead, look nakedly at the thought that arises itself, and look at the form, color, place of going, place of dwelling, place of coming. No matter how it appears, its essence is emptiness, and its nature is not established. It cannot be pointed out and said, "This is it."

Like clouds clearing in the sky, arising from oneself and dissolving into oneself, from the state of equipoise, non-duality naturally arises. So, is the nature of equipoise, the Dharmakaya abiding without birth, the same as the nature of subsequent awareness, the various thoughts arising as emptiness? Or are they different? Upon examination, it will be determined that these two are non-dual in the sense of having the same nature. So, is one thought the Dharmakaya, or are all thoughts the Dharmakaya? Upon examination, deliberately let the thoughts of attachment to liking and disliking flow, and whatever arises, cut off its root, and ultimately determine that it does not go beyond that single meaning. Just as one recognizes all flavors with the taste of one salt, one nature is emptiness, and all natures are clear and empty. All thoughts arise and are liberated simultaneously, arriving at the same time. Like the moon reflected in water, without grasping, they are self-liberated, and thus it is determined that the mind is non-dual, free from extremes, and the sole Dharmakaya. Ah! The realization arises that what is called practice is actually within these thoughts, which one did not know before. At that point, it is said that the flow naturally ceases, that thoughts arise as wisdom, that thoughts arise as practice, and that awareness is seen nakedly. Thus, according to the individual's capacity and diligent practice, such things will appear to those of superior capacity. For those of lesser capacity, merely thinking from the state of equipoise that the flowing thoughts are without inherent existence and are the empty Dharmakaya is not enough. If one cannot be liberated from the grasping of affirmation and negation, then one must deliberately seek the root of the inner grasping: by looking at it, it appears as a thought; by looking at the thought, it appears as mind; let the mind itself turn inward and stare intently: where does this mind come from in the beginning? Where does it abide in the middle? Where does it go in the end? What is its shape, color, and nature? From the crown of one's head to the soles of one's feet, and then to the external earth, stones, mountains, rocks, etc., observe from the outer, inner, and intermediate aspects, and through various methods, search for the root. The mind has no substance or characteristics, not even a particle can be found. Because of its unborn nature, one cannot find where it comes from in the beginning; because of its unlocalized nature, it has no place to abide in the middle; because of its unceasing nature, it has no place to go in the end.
