The Great Seal, the Jewel Lamp that Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance. Fire Offering Rinchen Gyal. The Great Seal, the Jewel Lamp that Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance. Fire Offering Rinchen Gyal. The Great Seal, the Jewel Lamp that Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance. Homage. In Sanskrit: Mahāmudrā bhimātṛka ratnasya dvīpa nāma (梵文天城体:महामुद्रा भिमातृक रत्नस्य द्वीप नाम,梵文罗马拟音:Mahāmudrā bhimātṛka ratnasya dvīpa nāma,Literal meaning: Great Seal, Ignorance, Jewel Island). In Tibetan: The Great Seal, the Jewel Lamp that Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance. Homage to the Vajradhara of the Three Kayas. This Dharma that allows one to attain Buddhahood without meditation, the essence of the intention of the Buddhas of the three times, the secret words of the heart of the Dakinis, has two aspects: observing the disposition of the individual, and the instructions to be applied to them. Firstly, since all sentient beings' bodies are composed of the four elements, the four elements will be more or less present in the body. Because of this, each intelligence arises, so the vessel should transform the essence. Although the nature of the essence does not change, the temporary differences in intelligence are like a clear crystal ball that reflects whatever color or type is shown to it. Therefore, the method of applying the instructions should be in accordance with the general disposition and the level of the senses, which should be learned from the lama's mouth. Secondly, the essential instructions of the main practice are explained in six general topics. The first is to establish the basis of calm abiding in the unaltered natural state. The second is to show the experiences and signs of warmth that dispel obstacles and enhance progress. The third is to reveal awareness, the naked nature of reality, by cutting through the root of the object of observation. The fourth is to introduce the view of spontaneous liberation in non-duality. The fifth is to show the state beyond action and thought by cutting off the extremes of error and obscuration. The sixth is to bring the spontaneous, self-perfected state of no-meditation to the point of exhaustion. Firstly, establishing calm abiding in the unaltered natural state: without altering the body, abandon all outer and inner activities, and relax naturally on top of the five aspects of meditation. Without altering the speech, remain naturally in a state free from speaking. Without altering the mind, remain relaxed in a state free from elaboration of reality. Thus, without altering each of the three doors of body, speech, and mind in their own state, simply rest the mind without distraction. Other than that, do not think, do not meditate, do not analyze, do not conceptualize, and do not let awareness wander to any object. Relax in a state free from all fabrication and artifice. At the time of resting in this way,

When a thought arises, shatter it with a "ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, meaning: shatter)", and then relax and let go as before. Similarly, harmonize with the elements of the body and practice in a continuous manner. When coarse thoughts of objects and matter cease, the stinging pain of feelings subsides. Relax and abide in a state of bliss, clarity, and non-thought. This is reaching the foundation of Śamatha, and it is the arising of the ultimate truth of Dharmata in the continuum. Second, demonstrating the practice of counteracting obstacles and enhancing strength, along with signs of warmth: Having practiced in this way, if obstacles to meditation such as dullness and agitation arise, the method for eliminating them and enhancing strength is: First, dullness arises from an excess of the earth element and bile in the individual. When drowsy, awareness becomes obscured, and the mind becomes sluggish, so Samadhi is not clear. The method for eliminating this is: food and clothing should be light and simple, reside in a white, cool place, the body should be cooled or naked, and verbally recite ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, meaning: shatter) or pray to the Lama. Exert awareness and focus on the very thought that is about to become dull again, because its nature is unborn. By merely focusing on it, it will subside in its own place. The vow is not to meditate in strong sunlight or darkness. The method for enhancing strength is: in the posture of the upper deities, the eyes are neither closed nor wide open, but looking straight ahead, gazing at the sky above. Awareness is in a clear, bright state, relaxed and abiding without any alteration. In this way, experiences and signs will arise in a clear and powerful state. Second, agitation arises from an excess of the wind element and cold in the individual. The mind does not abide, and awareness runs to what is being thought about. Coarse thoughts arise one after another, not clinging to the base, so Samadhi cannot truly arise. The method for eliminating this is: food and clothing should be warm and oily, reside in a warm and secluded place, body and speech should be relaxed, and aware- ness should be lowered. Relax the mind and focus on the very thought that is about to become agitated again, because its nature is unborn. By merely focusing on it, it will subside. The vow is not to meditate in a noisy place. The method for enhancing strength is: in the posture of the lower Nagas, the vow is as above, placing the gaze on the ground in front. If awareness is too relaxed, the body will fall to the ground, so abide in a clear and relaxed state without any alteration. In this way, experiences and signs will arise in a clear and non-thought state. Third, lethargy arises from an excess of the water element and phlegm in the individual. Awareness is relaxed on the base, not lifted up, and becomes lethargic.
