As it is said. In the Illusory Transformation Path Stages, the explanation of remaining and non-remaining in reverse order is: Having abandoned the body of fruition and attained the uncontaminated body, the absence of the residue of the elemental body is the non-remaining. The remaining is: Because the elemental body has transformed into the uncontaminated wisdom body, it is with the residue of the elemental body, hence it is known as such. Second, there are three instructions for attaining Buddhahood in the bardo with medium diligence. First, the nature of the bardo is: All appearances other than the primordial purity of the ground-essence are the state of the bardo. The appearances of the ground appearing as wisdom are the pure Dharmata Bardo. All phenomena included in the six realms of delusion are the impure deluded Bardo. Moreover, the mind with seeds that arises from the primordial purity of the essence and has not yet been perfected in the essence of manifestation is the Bardo. Second, the divisions are: As stated in the "Transformation": There are four divisions. These are: the Bardo of birth and death or nature, the Bardo of dying, the Bardo of Dharmata, and the Bardo of existence. The first is: From the establishment of birth in the mother's womb until being struck by the disease of death. The second, the Bardo of dying, is: From approaching death until the cessation of inner breath. The third, the Bardo of Dharmata, is: From the cessation of inner breath, the appearance of clear light, until the dissolution of the spontaneous appearances. The fourth, the Bardo of existence, is: From the dissolution of the spontaneous appearances until the establishment of the next existence. Third, the individual practices are: These are shown by two examples and meanings. The example is like cutting off attachments in the Bardo of birth, like entering a copper room. The meaning is to rely on a noble lama, and to diligently engage in hearing, thinking, and meditating on the meaning of the instructions he has given, thereby cutting off attachments. Similarly, giving instructions in the Bardo of dying, like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror, is that the practices previously familiar become clear in the mind at this time. Believing in self-appearance in the Bardo of Dharmata, like a child entering its mother's lap, is that the meaning of the instructions has been integrated into experience, so no matter how the appearances of Dharmata arise, there is no fear, but confidence that self-appearance is the play of wisdom. Continuing the karma in the Bardo of existence is like building a dam where a canal has broken.
