At this time, offer a mandala along with a supplication that is rich in expression and appropriately detailed, as an auspicious beginning. In any case, offer the complete thirty-seven-heap mandala according to the usual ritual. In order to pray that the lotus feet of the venerable and precious Lama may remain for kalpas, and that the wheel of Dharma may be turned, I offer this complete mandala without any omissions. Then, if there are representations of body, speech, and mind, offer them in order. When offering a representation of the body: To the crown ornament of the teachings and beings, the venerable Lama, I offer this image of wondrous marks and signs. May the auspicious light of your body, which remains for kalpas, always shine. When offering a representation of speech: To the lord of Dharma, the venerable Lama, I offer this scripture of the supreme vehicle's nectar. May the great cloud of your speech's sixty branches send down a great rain of profound and vast Dharma. When offering a representation of the mind: To the venerable Lama who has attained the supreme wisdom, I offer this supreme representation of the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas. May your mind, the union of emptiness and compassion, especially regard beings such as myself with your gaze. When offering a vase as a representation of qualities, like a vase filled with essence: To the venerable Lama with wondrous qualities, I offer this excellent vase that grants all desires. May you fulfill the hopes of beings in the three realms with an inexhaustible feast of jewels of liberation and maturation. When offering various vajras as a representation of activity: To the venerable Lama with limitless activity, I offer these various vajra mudras. May your supreme activity of taming, benefiting, and bringing happiness be constant, pervasive, and spontaneously accomplished. Alternatively, offer in prose as appropriate. Then, if there are supplications, offerings, etc., offer them in order. With one-pointed devotion, recite various verses for requesting the Lama to remain, and at the end: Thus, the sole refuge of the complete teachings and beings, the incomparable and supreme Vajra Master, in order to remain as the protector of the non-sectarian teachings and limitless beings, we, the assembled sangha here, offer and supplicate with all offerings. Would you please accept this as it is? And so on.

In response to the request for a detailed or concise ritual for granting the promise of long life, the master may ask whether a specific promise to remain for a certain period or a general one is desired. If it will cause the teachings to flourish and benefit sentient beings, then for over one hundred and eight years, or as long as you wish, may the lama and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bless me to possess the ten powers. Such a promise may be given. The words for the thanksgiving mandala are as above. To express gratitude for the kindness of promising to turn the wheel of Dharma, I offer this mandala as a gift of thanksgiving. This is recited and offered. Then, to strengthen the vow, if there is a tsok khor (assembly wheel), it is offered, and the "Prayer to Spontaneously Accomplish Wishes" is recited. The eight auspicious substances are purified, blessed, and offered as usual. If a prose prayer is added, it is recited: "Now, may the lotus feet of the glorious and holy lama, relying on the substance of the mirror, remain firm for an ocean of kalpas, and may it be extremely auspicious!" This is added. If desired, the eight symbols and the seven treasures may also be offered as usual. In any case, at the end, auspicious verses such as "Possessing perfect qualities" are recited extensively, and a rain of flowers is showered. Auspiciousness is celebrated with pleasant and prolonged music. The objects offered for long life, including incense and musical instruments, are respectfully escorted back to their places. If there is a tsok offering, it begins with the leftovers; otherwise, the subsequent mandala rituals, such as offerings and praises, are performed according to their respective texts. Furthermore, if one wants to perform a very concise ritual for averting obstacles, then in the preparation stage, only a wrathful torma of the dakinis, golden drink, and a body effigy are needed. In the main part, after the bathing, the body effigy torma is purified. Recite Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽). This is a teaching of Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa. Visualize the essence of pure vastness transforming into a vast vessel like space, becoming an inexhaustible treasure of enjoyment, and then recite the vidyā of the space treasury. Kye! Glorious Mother who appears throughout samsara and nirvana, The five wisdoms that purify the five poisons, The unimpeded manifestation of the five families, Assembly of dakinis appearing in various forms, Together with the countless messengers of the retinue, Adorned with beautiful ornaments, holding symbolic words, Whose speech is the sound of instruction, Whose minds are intoxicated with great bliss, like a cloud, Come here today.
