Because there are things that cannot be grasped, do not remain in this cycle of existence. Recognize your own Dharma nature. In the realm of Sukhavati, the vast expanse of emptiness, the six realms of beings are deeply mired in suffering. In the lotus-adorned pure land, the Dharma nature is incomparably beautiful and radiant. The Bodhisattva retinue is exceedingly sublime. Therefore, deceased so-and-so, partake of this food and depart in bliss. Offer all these pure and abundant things, such as the five desirable qualities, as lasting sustenance, inexhaustible enjoyment, and as a dedication to the root of virtue. Partake of this food offering, do not cling to this place of samsara, contemplate the meaning of emptiness, without birth or death, and proceed to the pure land of great bliss! On top of the lunar disc, the deity being practiced abides, the short A at the navel, the fire of wisdom, burns away sins, suffering, and the karmic body and mind-made body, burning away all the imprints of obscurations. The pure Bhagavan Shakyamuni, manifests as the actual present body, residing in the midst of a mass of light. With the rays of light from my heart, I invite and dissolve the countless white Vajrasattva and other Bhagavat, pacifying all sins, obscurations, diseases, and evil spirits. I invite and dissolve the immeasurable yellow hosts of Bodhisattvas such as Manjushri, increasing and expanding merit, wisdom, and knowledge. I invite and dissolve the countless red hosts of Dakinis such as Vajravarahi, gaining freedom over wind and mind. I invite and dissolve the immeasurable dark blue hosts of wrathful deities such as Heruka, destroying the four maras and afflictions. Burning the impure aggregates, elements, and sense bases of the object of focus with the fire of the five bodies and five wisdoms, they are purified and become a pure land. Call out the names of Oddiyana and others from afar, without form, without sound, without smell, without taste, without touch, without dharma. Recite and burn the above long dharani. The consciousness of the deceased and the wisdom hero are inseparable, abiding on the lunar disc, lift it into the sky. Ho! Deceased one, listen! From here to the west is the Sukhavati realm, the protector Avalokiteshvara.

Empowerments and, Buddha Amitabha resides, together with the retinue of Bodhisattvas, liberated from all the sufferings of existence, the qualities of that realm are beyond description, whoever holds its name, generating supreme joy and reverence, it is said that they will be born in that supreme realm, therefore, you should generate great reverence, I am the Great Compassionate One, I am the guide to your supreme path, on the path between here and that realm, I will say, 'I am your parents,' I will say, 'I am your companion,' to the loud and clear cries, do not give a response, do not look back, do not be attached to nearby places, do not let suffering linger in your mind, proceed to the realm of Sukhavati, O, Bodhisattva named Deceased, listen! From here, certainly to the western world called Sukhavati, there is the Bhagavan Amitabha, surrounded by a multitude of Bodhisattvas and countless noble Sangha, constantly turning the wheel of Dharma, son of lineage, you should go with the gait of a lion, look with the gaze of an elephant, with joy and reverence for the qualities of that realm, without distraction, go swiftly like an arrow, go single-mindedly, seize that pure realm of Sukhavati! Om Padme Padme Padme Sambhava Maha Sukhawati Gacchantu Svaha (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Just by generating joy and reverence to the principal and retinue of Amitabha of Sukhavati, from body, speech, and mind, rays of compassion like a stretched rainbow silk emerge, the deceased holds its end, and Yartsen takes it, dissolving into the lotus heart in front, thus obtaining the manifested body of rebirth. Phat! Phat! Phat! May all the thirty-five deities of the Buddha Bhagavan's mandala, remember the deceased. From this life of the deceased and from the beginningless and endless lifetimes, in other lifetimes in samsara, whatever roots of virtue from giving even a mouthful of food when born in the animal realm, and whatever roots of virtue from keeping vows, and whatever roots of virtue from abiding in celibacy, and completely maturing sentient beings.
