In the Lion Rock of Kham, the teacher Padmasambhava made vows with all the local deities and hail deities of the Kham region, such as Zla-gyas and Dri-wang. Just as you vowed and promised at that time, please accept this white offering of the samaya substance. For all the crops that I am to protect, please do not send hail, please be the helpers of protection! Guru Dorje Drolo manifested his form and subdued all the gods and demons without exception. At the time of making vows and offering life-essence, if those who merely hold the name of the teacher Padmasambhava do not listen to and carry out what is said, then the head of that god or demon will explode, the heart will burn, and the curse-vow of falling into hell will be made. Please remember this strict vow! Please accept the harmonious offerings of the respective samaya substances. For all the crops that I am to protect, please do not send hail, please protect them from hail! The hail path is the door of the sky, therefore, the offering is offered in the northwest direction. Then comes the auspiciousness: Hūṃ!
