Thus, etc., according to the usual procedure. Consecrate with the nature of great compassion. The consecration of statues, heart-images, etc., should be transformed as appropriate, and blessings should be granted by listening. Then, offer and praise again, and stabilize with the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Vajra Muḥ! Sanskrit Romanization: vajra muḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Diamond Muḥ!) The wisdom of the material and the craftsman has passed away, into the realm of self-nature. The Samaya being dissolves, transforming into that very nature. Then, from the two hands of the craftsman, from Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Āḥ!) arises. Each of the five-pointed vajras resides on the moon. From their dissolution, the hands of vajras are formed. The fingertips also transform into single-pointed vajras. Again, visualize a wheel Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ!) on its crown, a lotus Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Āḥ!) on its throat, and a vajra Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ!) on its heart, and touch the three places with the vajra, reciting: Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. Visualize the papers transforming into the letter Dhīḥ (Tibetan: དྷཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: धीः, Sanskrit Romanization: dhīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Dhīḥ!), and from the rays of light that arise, invite the form of the speech vajra letters, dissolving into the paper. For the pen, ink, paint, and so on, recite: Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम् वज्र सत्त्व हुम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra sattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ!) twenty-one times, which is the mantra of transformation and the mantra of all activities. Visualize the pen, etc., as the nature of wisdom, and the paint and ink, etc., as the nectar of wisdom, completely transformed from the minute particles of vajra. By this, entrust the consecrated instruments, and stabilize them with the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Secondly, the procedure for repairing old objects is: wherever statues and stupas, etc., are old and dilapidated, it is said that the destruction of the country, wars, famines, and other inauspicious events will occur. Repairing, or moving from a barren land to a good land, or replacing inferior materials with superior materials, etc., should be done with the Argha ritual. If it is known that the object is useless, or if one acts out of greed for wealth and relics, etc., one will fall into the near five inexpiable sins. The practice is: in front of the sacred object, arrange abundant offerings and praises. One who possesses the yoga of self-generation should offer to the sacred object with offerings. Offer tormas to the common and individual guardian deities and local deities, and give instructions. I, for the benefit of sentient beings, will repair, move, or replace inferior materials with superior materials, etc., the sacred objects of the Tathagata, so tomorrow I will perform the consecration and relocation, thus think. So-and-so Bhagavan, etc., as usual.

It is appropriate to act accordingly. Change "transfer" to "move," and report this three times. The next morning, arrange extensive new tormas and offerings before the sacred object. First, perform the self-generation deity yoga, then make offerings and praises to the old sacred object. After reporting as before, place a spotless mirror in front of it and allow the image of the sacred object to appear in it. Then, visualize rays of light like iron hooks emanating from your heart, causing the samaya being and wisdom being of the sacred object to become non-dual and dissolve into the image in the mirror. Recite: Om Vajra Samājaḥ Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hoḥ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्र सम जः जः हुं वं होः, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra samājaḥ jaḥ huṃ vaṃ hoḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Vajra, Samaya, Ja, Hum, Vam, Hoh) Invite, merge, bind, and delight. Stabilize the non-duality of the sacred object's deity and the image in the mirror with the hundred-syllable mantra, and offer praises and prayers for auspiciousness. Wrap it in yellow silk, tie it in the back, and seal it, marking it as not to be inverted, then invite it to the offering row and treat it with respect. After the new sacred object is completed, following the generation stage of the actual consecration, open the previous mirror in front of it, and with the mantras of the four gates, invite, merge, bind, and delight the samaya being of the old sacred object and the new sacred object. Then, proceed as in the ritual for inviting the wisdom being. If the old sacred object is made of stone, invite it to a river. If that is not possible, carve a hole in a high mountain and place it there. If it is made of wood, wrap it in cloth soaked in butter and burn it in the fire of a burnt offering. If it is made of copper or clay, etc., if it can be melted down as material for the new sacred object, mix it into the new material. If it is too far away, etc., and cannot be done, put it in water or build a stupa on the spot and consecrate it. If the material of the sacred object is possessed by evil spirits, do not mix it into the new material, but purify it with a fierce burning offering. Master Abhaya believes that one should make offerings and praises to the wisdom being of the old sacred object, and offer tormas to the Dharma protectors and local deities, so that it may depart to its natural state. Thus, if one properly constructs a new sacred object, restores an old one, and consecrates it, as explained in the tantras and commentaries, then all the glories of temporary and ultimate benefit will be easily accomplished without difficulty, this is certain. Spoken: From the beginning, free from darkness, the taste of great bliss wisdom, May it constantly pervade all phenomena of permanence and change.
