O thieves! O sword-wielding warriors on the battlefield! Your bodies are blood-red, adorned with red copper armor. Red silk banners are tied to your heads. On the right is a tiger quiver, on the left a leopard quiver. Red leather shields blaze with fire. Copper swords flash like lightning. Red banners flutter like the wind. The fierce red horses gallop like lightning. Mountain dogs and wild dogs are led in play. Mountain birds, crows, soar above. The edge of the sword chases from the top of life. The illusion of sword combat is unleashed upon the enemy. Nine illusions, nine auspicious signs are unleashed upon the enemy. The seven thieves of Tsen, the arrogant and wrathful host of Tsen, wage war against the hated enemy. Weapons, swords, auspicious swords are unleashed upon the enemy. Crushing swords, water swords are unleashed upon the enemy. Waterfall swords, auspicious swords are unleashed upon the enemy. Subduing swords, fiercely unleashed upon the enemy. May the entrusted tasks be accomplished! This is urged during the time of practice and slaying. The Tsen thieves, the urging of galloping horses, the method of practice for the seven players. The drumbeat of Guru Padmasambhava, Iti! The history of this is: In the past, in the land of India, in a place where cremation grounds burned, in front of the red and black copper mountain, there were eleven demonesses' wombs, red Tsen rocks with flame patterns, resembling standing demonesses. When Padmasambhava resided there, at midnight, seven wolves with bloody manes howled and created obstacles for the Guru. The master remained in the samadhi of glorious Hayagriva and raised the vajra, transforming into seven horsemen who came to pay homage. When asked who they were, they replied, "I am the chief of the Yakshas, Tsi'u Mar. I was previously empowered by glorious Hayagriva and vowed to be a protector of the teachings." When Guru asked, "Where is your abode? Who are your parents? What is your life essence? Please tell me," they replied, "My abode is in this very India, in a place called Ga's Cave in Tsang. My father is Muje Legpa, and my mother is the Yakshini Copper-Throat. The essence of my life is located in one of the tantras spoken by glorious Hayagriva, in a yellow place of rock, inside a birch bark amulet box filled with juniper incense. I will protect the teachings of the Buddha!" Thus they pledged. Guru also bestowed empowerment and gave a secret name.
