Whatever misfortune befalls, train in transforming it into the path of great enlightenment without attachment or clinging, like a dream or illusion. This is the profound sequence of subduing the external world. Samaya. Second, subduing the inner winds and mind: Through familiarizing oneself with the winds and tummo, visualize oneself as the body of a lotus dakini, clearly visualizing the empty spaces of the channels. At the junction of the three channels below the navel, visualize the red essence inseparable from the fire of tummo, the emissary of action, Kurukulle, her great bliss wisdom body one finger high. Expel stale air, hold the vase breath. Train in the path as much as possible in this way. Then, propelled by the wind, from the heart of the emissary woman at the navel, arises the nature of bliss-warmth, the wisdom rays that can effortlessly gather the essence of samsara and nirvana, hot and blissful, flashing red. From the crown of the head, circling counterclockwise, it exits from the right ear, passes through the hollow of the hand's arrow, emanates from the expanded lotus arrow, passes through the Roma channel, and together with the wind, exits from the right nostril, pervading all of samsara and nirvana, effortlessly agitating, the essence appearing in the form of red light. Together with the wind, it passes from the left nostril through the Kyangma channel, enters from the arrowhead of the emissary woman's arrow, exits from the hollow, enters from the right ear, circles clockwise, and dissolves into the (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 舍) syllable at the heart, contemplating that thereby the appearances of samsara and nirvana, together with the winds and mind, have been subdued, and stabilize it with the practice of vase breath. This is subduing the wind. Then, from the emissary woman at the navel, arises the wisdom flame inseparable from the fire of tummo, extremely subtle, from the secret place it passes through the Roma channel to the nostrils and exits swiftly, pervading all of samsara and nirvana, purifying all clinging to signs, the essence melting and transforming into the nature of great bliss, containing nectar and fire, from the left nostril it passes through the Kyangma channel, enters from the bhaga of the emissary woman, dissolves into the seed syllable at the heart, thereby the experience of bliss-warmth is further agitated, contemplate that all of samsara and nirvana are perfected into one bindu, hold the wind in union. When clear appearance arises in that, the wisdom flame enters the central channel unimpeded, all the deities of the four chakras are pleased by bliss-warmth, subsequently the wisdom of great bliss blazes even more, the essence of the white bindu at the crown of the head, great bliss

Of its own nature, the nectar of great bliss, red and radiant, arises immeasurably as the self-image of Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) Padma Heruka is touched. As the four wheels transmit, touching the female messenger at the navel chakra, the subsequent bliss blazes even more. Again, ignite the fire greatly, and increase the wisdom of bliss and warmth. Finally, the life force of samsara and nirvana, the nature of great bliss, the white and red appearances dissolve into the Nṛ (Tibetan, Devanagari: नृ, Romanized Sanskrit: nṛ, Literal Chinese meaning: Nṛ) syllable in the heart, and wind and mind merge inseparably. Abide in the nature of bliss, the essence of emptiness, and as all subsequent appearances arise, contemplate that all that is stable and moving is of one taste in the indestructible bindu, and sustain the gentle wind, abiding in a state beyond words and beyond mind. This is gathering the mind. By becoming accustomed to this, one engages in the mudra of the lotus-holder, which is characterized by the mantra of empowerment, visualizing oneself as Padma Heruka and the consort Padma Ḍākinī, and as one enters into samadhi equally with the three cognitions, the sound of bliss and the rays of light that arise thereafter cause all of samsara and nirvana to tremble involuntarily. Red light enters the mother in the form of great bliss, and inseparable from the essence of its redness, it is drawn by the vajra hook and absorbed into the bindu in the heart. The connections are made by the illusory wheel of drawing and spreading, etc. This is the stage of extracting the essence. All of these are special stages of gaining control over the inner wind and mind and gathering all appearances into the essence of great bliss. Samaya. Third, the secret is to gather appearance and mind: straighten the body, expel the stale air, and visualize oneself as the supreme deity and the lama on the crown of the head. Make supplications, receive empowerment, and mingle heart and mind, placing them together as one. Then, regarding the external as the object of gathering, view the various appearances of samsara and nirvana as merely appearances of one's own mind. Meditate on them as being like dreams and illusions, and sustain a state of non-grasping. This is gathering appearance with the mind. When that mind is examined, it has no shape or color, is neither one nor many, and is merely labeled as grasper and grasped, without even a particle existing by its own nature. Although it does not exist, various aspects of individual thoughts arise. At the very moment of arising, knowing that it has not departed from the nature of great emptiness, abide in that state. This is gathering the mind into the freedom of emptiness. That emptiness is inseparable from one's own awareness, experienced by the yogi, experience
