Sprinkle with scented water. Oṃ mahā krodhīśvarī sarva dra byaṃ śodhaya hūṃ phaṭ! Oṃ svabhāva, etc., purify. From emptiness, on a lotus and moon seat, the form of the deceased deity arises from Nṛ. The light from one's own heart dissolves the consciousness into a white A. Homage to the power of the Three Jewels and Three Roots, and the blessings of the compassionate Bhagavan. Wherever the consciousness of the deceased may be, may it come to this object of focus. Nṛ vajra aṅkuśa jaḥ. Use this to summon the consciousness. Jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ. Absorb it into the support. Purify the obstacle offering with raṃ yaṃ khaṃ. Bless with oṃ āḥ hūṃ. Oṃ sarva vighnān ākarṣaya jaḥ. Invite the guests. Oṃ sarva vighnān baliṃta kha khā hi. Offer three times. Hūṃ! In this true secret mandala, the obstructing demons of the deceased's path to liberation, by the command of Heruka, be destroyed and go elsewhere. Drive them away with fierce mantras and mustard seeds. Vajra rakṣa rakṣa bhrūṃ. Meditate on the protective circle. Purifying Sins: Visualize the object of focus as an ordinary place, the seed of hell in the secret place, the seed of a hungry ghost Pre in the heart, the seed of an animal Tri in the navel. Above each of them, raṃ yaṃ khaṃ. The guru Vajrasattva is clear, the light from the heart shines on the three places of the disciple, above the three seeds, raṃ yaṃ khaṃ, urge fire, wind, and water, burn, destroy, and wash away the seed imprints. The guru Vajrasattva, the right hand rests on the sun, the fingers oṃ hūṃ trāṃ hrīḥ āḥ, the left hand rests on the moon, the fingers mūṃ lāṃ māṃ pāṃ tāṃ, the five families become the bodies of the fathers and mothers, oṃ surata satvaṃ, vajra añjali, vajra bandha vaṃ, the union of the five families of fathers and mothers, purify the seeds of sin that cause birth in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals. With the mudra of raising and contracting the palms, oṃ sarva pāpaṃ dahana viśuddhe bhasmiṃ kuru svāhā. After the hundred-syllable mantra, naraka, pretaka, tiryaka, cakṣu prabeśaya phaṭ. Then, confession and vows: Alas, Vajradhara, protector, protect me with compassion, I beseech the supreme king to proclaim, henceforth I will not conceal or hide. The guru gives breath: Child, come here, son of the lineage, by your own faults and past faults, from falling into the place of hell, to protect and give empowerment.
