Take this pure, two-fold torma, And accomplish the entrusted activities by inspiring your heart's commitment. Hūṃ bhyo! Then, in the middle of the intermediate eon, In the palace of spontaneously arisen Samadhi, When the great teacher Vajradhara And the disciples, the lords of the families, Vajrasattva, Opened the mandala of the five spontaneously arisen families, The five families of Samaya Dakinis and their entourage, Showing their emanated, self-appearing mind forms, Did you not promise to take whatever appears as the torma? Did you not promise to protect the unchanging teachings? Did you not promise to prolong the life of the yogis? Did you not promise to subdue the enemies and obstructors of wrong views? Take this pure, self-born torma, And without transgressing the previous vows, Accomplish the entrusted activities by inspiring your heart's commitment. Hūṃ bhyo! Then, at the end of the eon of time, In the spontaneously arisen Tsuglag of Samye (桑耶寺), When the great teacher Padmasambhava And the disciples, the three: king, subjects, and friends, Opened the mandala of the secret play, The proud male and female life-force owners and their entourage, Showing their wrathful, self-appearing mind forms, Offering the essence of their own life force, Did you not promise to take whatever appears as the torma? Did you not promise to protect the unchanging teachings? Did you not promise to prolong the life of the yogis? Did you not promise to subdue the enemies and obstructors of wrong views?
