Write ཛཿ at the eight points of the compass. On the eight ribs, starting from the southeast, write: Some places don't have this. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). There are also different wheels. Homage to the noble lamas! Is the king himself harmed? Is he cursed by someone? Has discord occurred? All of these can be dealt with using this method. Generate yourself as the yidam, and in front of the king himself, or in the place where he resides, visualize a red བྷྲཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in his heart. From that བྷྲཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning), visualize a red wheel with a thousand spokes, rotating on the king's life force, thinking that it cuts off the suffering of hell, and recite the mantra. Add this below the root mantra: རཱ་ཛ་ས་མ་ཡ་གིཾ་ཀ་ར་པྲ་མ་ཤ་ཀ་ཀ་རུ་ར། ཙཀྲ་གནོད་བྱེད་མཱ་ར་ཡ་སོད་སོད། སྲོག་སྙིང་རྦད་རྦད། རྦད་རྦད་ on the life force. Heart सामायः ཕྱེ, life ཕྱེ. Some say heart सामायः ཕྱེ. Life सामायः ཕྱེ. Recite like this. Sometimes add a hundred recitations. There are also sayings like གཉེར་ཁུ་བུ་ and གཉེགས་ཁུ་སུ. As a sign, if crying, bowing, or illness occurs, interrupt it. I have cured leprosy with this method. I have also cured ghosts with this method. The king's ghost does not have this, it has no mouth. Practice this well! I have never recited this to anyone. Faith has arisen through practice. This is subdued through meditation and mantra. Homage to the guru Hayagriva! Now I will write down the oral instructions. Generate yourself as Hayagriva. Gather the lower wheel. It is also said to be ཏྲི་ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). Visualize that as the harming king, and perform fierce hooking and repelling. Gather the wheel of Hayagriva, and from that ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning), generate Hayagriva. Strike with a bamboo stick, or some say a sandalwood stick, and visualize the harmer turning to ashes. If you do that, it is a sign of being subdued. In dreams, they will bow to you, respectfully prostrate, listen to your commands, and so on. Signs of subduing are the collapse of temples, the falling of clay figures, and dogs, cats, and monkeys causing trouble.

Whatever illusions are shown will be killed. After doing so, the wheel of harm is wrapped with the wheel of Hayagriva—it is also said, "The wheel of demons, the wheel of Hayagriva, is gathered."—Place it in the skull of a dog or a mouse. Block the brain hole with a device. Bind it in a cross with colored thread and press it under the threshold of the temple or at a crossroads, and think that it will not escape even at the end of the kalpa. The method of protection is: Make the wheel as before. At this point, some versions say, "It should be learned from the lama's mouth." It seems to be a commentary. Wrap the wheel of harm with the wheel of Hayagriva, and think that all harm is gathered—wrapped—in the belly of Hayagriva, with no escape, and then apply protection. Be sure to protect, this is the best of protection. If the wheel is not completed, then first cultivate loving-kindness and compassion. Rub the protective knot—it is also said, "Protective thread, HRIH (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉字字面意思:Great Compassion)"—generate Hayagriva. Think that all harm is gathered—wrapped—in his belly, with no chance of escape, and then apply protection. Sangye Nyenton said: In Lhasa, a property dispute occurred in Gaqiong, and many people went crazy because of it. This method was used to subdue them, and all were cured. I fought with him for three years. In a dream, Sangye Kyergangpa appeared and gave this instruction. Since then, the king's disasters have been completely eliminated. The Hayagriva instruction is as Sangye Dtonpa said. The letter A-i (ཨའི་) is missing, which is obviously recorded by Senge. Homage to the Sugata Victorious One, the assembly of the ocean! If you want to believe in this secret practice of Hayagriva transmitted by the great accomplished Kyergangpa, then according to history: When the great accomplished Rinpoche himself was at Kyergang, fulfilling the two purposes, in the Horse year... Tiger year, on the seventeenth morning of the first winter month, he went to Ugyen in a dream. There he met Guru Padmasambhava and asked for a profound Hayagriva practice. In an instant, the Guru manifested as Hayagriva, with three faces, six arms, and eight legs, fierce and terrifying, and uttered three fierce horse roars. All the mothers and dakinis gathered and gave the empowerment of this Hayagriva. Then the Lotus King said:
