Protecting beings from the suffering of existence, I prostrate and praise the six-realm Avalokiteśvara! Hūṃ! Although not moving from the nature of peace, With compassion, you are fiercely wrathful towards the wicked, O Hero Hayagriva, who destroys the four māras' armies, I prostrate and praise you, the lord of dance! Hūṃ! Mother of all Buddhas of the three times, pure Dharmadhātu, Who wields power over all mandalas of the three realms, Who leads beings to the pure realm of great bliss, I prostrate and praise you, goddess Vidyādharī! Hūṃ! Perfectly possessing the two accumulations, attaining the ocean of qualities, Who dispels the poverty of all beings, Supreme embodiment of the victorious Ratnasambhava, I prostrate and praise you, son Vaiśravaṇa! Hūṃ! Subduing the wicked with the form of a rākṣasa, Destroying the great bodhisattva, Demolishing the triple city, I prostrate and praise you, wrathful one! Hūṃ! To all the Buddhas and their sons of the past, future, and present, The Sugatas, protectors of beings, of the ten directions, I prostrate with the three doors and offer praise! Hūṃ! The four great kings who uphold their vows, Protecting the four gates and destroying enemies and obstructors, The seventy pure lords of the retinue, I offer and praise with their retinues! Thus, one should praise. Eleventh is the recitation of mantras: The intention of the recitation, The melody of the recitation, The order of offering, praise, and activity. The meaning of this is: In the past, when Guru Padmasambhava was born from a lotus flower, Dakini Sangwa Yeshe, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of dakinis, circled the lotus stem. The branches of the lotus were moved by the wind, like riding a horse, signifying the clear establishment of intention. And the recitation of mantras is like bees taking the essence of flowers, and the application to activity is like the waves of a great ocean surging. First: Hrīḥ! To the lamas, deities, and compassionate ones, I take refuge until I attain enlightenment! Having taken hold of the mind of enlightenment, May I quickly attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings! Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ! Refuge and bodhicitta. The intention is to visualize clearly as the deity: Hrīḥ! Self-arising from the state of emptiness and compassion, In the center of a palace blazing with five wisdom lights, The embodiment of lamas, yidams, and dakinis gathered together, Clearly visualize the Great Compassionate Lord Avalokiteśvara! Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ! One face, four arms, four complete bodies.
