Upon entering, as stated by Vajradhara, the empowerment should also be preceded by a mandala. Mandalas can be divided into three types: the mandala of intrinsic wisdom, the mandala of emanation, and the mandala of experiential awareness, which are the realms of activity for noble beings. For teachers who have only attained some stability in meditation, depending on the capacity of the disciples, there are four methods: for those of lower capacity, colored powders are used; for those of intermediate capacity, paintings are used; for those of higher capacity, piling is used; and for those of the highest capacity, reliance is placed on the guru's body mandala. Currently, the venerable gurus usually perform empowerments based on either colored powder or painted mandalas. In the case of a colored powder mandala, as it says, "Performing the ground ritual and preparations," the ground ritual is performed on the first night, and the preparations on the second. In the case of a painted mandala, the preparatory ritual is performed on the first night. Among these, since the preparations for the deity and the vase have already been completed, now is the time to perform the preparations for the disciples. Therefore, in order to request the blessings of the deity who is inseparable from the guru and the main deity of the mandala, please offer the mandala. The disciples offer the mandala that was previously scattered with flowers and then collected. After offering the mandala in this way, the motivation is generated: "You are entering this great mandala in order to attain the supreme accomplishment, the nature of the four kayas and five wisdoms, the state of non-learning union. Apart from that, the happiness and prosperity of samsara in this life and the next, the exalted status, and even the enlightenment of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who seek peace, are not the fruits we seek. Therefore, all sentient beings are inherently pure by nature, and samsara does not exist, being like an illusion. However, because they have not realized this, these sentient beings who wander in samsara have been mothers, fathers, spouses, etc. to each other countless times, and have bestowed immeasurable kindness upon each other. They are all burdened by the heavy load of suffering, and do not know the means of liberation. Although they desire happiness, they strive to create the causes of suffering, so that their desires and actions are completely reversed, like madmen. For these beings, we must be motivated by unfeigned and immeasurable compassion, and with wisdom and great compassion...

From not abiding in the two extremes of quiescence, may I attain the state of a fully enlightened Buddha. For that purpose, in order to properly receive the empowerment, which is the root of the Vajrayana path, and to train properly on the path, I aspire to generate a pure bodhicitta, free from confusion. Then, make the following request: With unwavering faith and intense longing, join your palms together holding flowers, and repeat after me: Homage! Teacher, skillful and compassionate lord, Dispeller of the darkness of samsara, refuge of beings, With love, consider me, I pray. In the endless ocean of samsara, For beings drowning without protection, With compassion, consider this mandala, I pray that you remain here especially. Recite three times. Thus, it is excellent that you have developed a mind of aspiration for the Vajrayana, the single path of all Buddhas, the extraordinary path of swift bliss. To generate joy, it is necessary to listen to this grant of permission. O fortunate son of noble family! You have awakened from karma and delusion. Even the Buddhas who have gone to the three times, Have manifestly attained the state of complete enlightenment On this supreme secret great path. Even the great army with its hordes of demons, All have been conquered by this. Therefore, you are a glorious fortunate one, You shall be taken into this mandala. All the true disciplines, You shall respectfully uphold. Thus it is said. Then, the common vows of refuge and bodhicitta, and the special vows of holding the vows, will be explained in the context of entering below, and should be taken at this time. Then, generate the deity: Light radiates from the heart of the teacher, striking your body, causing it to dissolve into a mass of light, transforming into the form of the Great Compassionate One, the Lord of Dance. The teacher touches your crown, throat, and heart with scented water containing a vajra, making a mark, and reciting Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), causing the three syllables to arise in the three places. Again, touching the heart, throat, and forehead from below upwards, reciting Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), causing the body, speech, and mind of all the Buddhas to become clear as the nature of vajra. Again, touching downwards from the forehead, reciting Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), making the three doors firm as the three vajras.
