Six-syllable emanation, six kinds of miraculous transformations, cutting off the birth gate of the six realms and purifying obscurations. The essence of great compassion, the six-syllable mantra, by bestowing empowerment upon the fortunate son of lineage, may all obscurations and habitual tendencies of speech be purified, and may it be inseparable from the speech of the Great Compassionate One! Thus empower. In the heart of the master, on the moon, there is the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih) syllable mantra garland, and in the heart of the disciple, on the moon, visualize only the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih) syllable. Due to generating faith and respect for the master, the second section of the mantra garland in his heart breaks and comes out of his mouth. Visualize it entering the disciple's mouth and settling at the edge of the seed syllable in the heart, and have the disciple recite the six-syllable mantra seven times. Thus, by bestowing the inner mantra empowerment on speech, speech is blessed as mantra. From now on, abandon holding speech as ordinary, and know that all sounds are the self-sound of the six-syllable mantra of the speech of Lord Great Compassion. Thus he instructs. Sixth, the secret empowerment of the power of awareness is bestowed on the mind: After making the request, say, "Please bestow the empowerment of the power of awareness upon the one named so-and-so." Repeat three times. Place the white, three-sectioned Dharma staff in the disciple's heart. Thus, the symbolic meaning of the Dharma staff: To understand the symbol of Dharma-nature Bodhicitta, the color is white; because it is naturally arisen without being fabricated, it is born alone; to understand that the three bodies appear in oneself, it has three sections. For the unborn self-arisen Dharmakaya, the various appearances are the power of awareness, the six aggregates and six objects are clear in the realm of space, the six afflictions are the six bodies and six wisdoms, the self-arising and self-liberating play of Dharma-nature, by bestowing empowerment upon the fortunate son of lineage, may the supreme empowerment of the power of awareness be attained! From this time on, the six afflictions need not be abandoned, the six wisdoms and six bodies are self-arisen and self-liberated. Thus, by bestowing the Dharma empowerment on the mind, the mind is blessed into the heart. From now on, abandon holding the mind as ordinary, and know that all thoughts are the emptiness and compassion inseparable from the heart of Lord Great Compassion.
