Pervade all. Immeasurable qualities, inconceivable activities. May Padmasambhava Amitayus, the protector, be swiftly attained! Recite this three times and scatter flowers. If desired, recite other auspicious prayers as well. By this, the practice eliminates all obstacles, and relying on the activity deity Amitabha, the profound longevity empowerment is perfectly offered and completed. Moreover, it is said in the text: 'Possessing many unique qualities that are both common and not contradictory, this profound empowerment can only be accomplished through meditative absorption. Whoever possesses the oral instructions, no matter to whom they are bestowed, will increase life and wisdom, and auspiciousness will flourish. Even if life is exhausted, it will surely be extended by three years. Therefore, those who are fortunate should cherish and hold it dear.' As it is said, this empowerment is extremely profound and possesses great blessings, therefore it should be cherished as a samaya substance, and the order of vows as explained should be protected and upheld accordingly. Please repeat after me. 'How the main one...' etc. To repay the kindness of perfectly receiving the profound longevity empowerment, please offer a mandala. After guiding in this way, have the disciples offer a mandala. Again, thinking to offer body and possessions, please repeat after me. 'From this day forth...' etc. May such virtuous roots be completely dedicated to the heart of enlightenment. Please grant this dedication together. Recite 'By this merit' etc., and then the disciples depart. If it is necessary to accumulate a hundred empowerments, then begin with bathing and continue until the giving of longevity wine, completing one full and extensive empowerment. If inclined towards the extensive practice, then again offer a mandala for the sake of requesting the immortal longevity empowerment. Thus offer a mandala and one verse of supplication. Visualize yourselves as Padmasambhava Amitayus, father and mother, in the five places, manifesting the five families of life-lords, father and mother, in the unwavering clear mind, on a crossed sun and moon seat, with three syllables (Oṃ, ཨོཾ，oṃ，Perfection; Āḥ, ཨཱཿ，āḥ，Unborn; Hūṃ, ཧཱུྃ，hūṃ，Destruction) surrounded by the life essence. Visualize the light rays from the heart of the mandala deity gathering all the life essence of samsara and nirvana, and the blessings of the three secrets of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, dissolving into oneself.
