I think this kind of (behavior) is in accordance with the meaning of the tantric scriptures. However, nowadays, most of those who claim to be Vajra Holders and protectors of the Dharma rely on their own desires when claiming to bestow the great empowerments of the new and old tantras, turning practice into a simple Dharma. Without following the rituals and decorations mentioned in the scriptures, they hastily complete large empowerments in just a morning or a day, relying only on the ritual texts and quick-made mandalas. The gurus just give and give, and the disciples just receive and receive, focusing their minds on counting these chains. Compared to those who do not pursue the Dharma, it is good fortune to have such thoughts, but those who use the sacred Dharma in an improper way and take the Buddha's teachings out of context will not only fail to become protectors of the Dharma, but also create their own empowerments and bring the lineage teachings into their own (power) range, etc. This is destroying the lifeblood of the Dharma, causing the heat of blessings to disappear, and planting the root of a great collapse. The Buddhas and their retinues have sternly warned against this, and all vidyadharas, present and future, should keep this in mind, which is very important. In short, when focusing on the uncontrived generation stage and completion stage, one should not be disturbed by contrived activities; when performing contrived great practices and bestowing great empowerments, etc., one should not use uncontrived as an excuse, but should practice according to the teachings of one's own Vajrayana school, so that one can obtain great accomplishments and blessings. In the Guhyagarbha Tantra, it says: "With the power of intelligence and mind, if the rituals are performed extensively according to the scriptures, one will surely and quickly obtain both siddhis. Why? Because even the smallest rituals mostly originate from the tantras; some are the oral transmissions and practices of accomplished gurus; some are the prophecies of dakinis; and some are what I, Orgyen (Padmasambhava), combined with practice in Yang le shod (present-day Pharping, Nepal), so eliminate all doubts and practice!" This sentence is also mentioned many times in other terma treasures. In general, merely encountering the teachings of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana is already counted as having good fortune, planting the seed of bodhi, but these Dharma categories of the Eight Great Herukas (bka' brgyad) are more excellent than others. In the Rangshar Zhalgdams, it says: "The peaceful and wrathful deities of the Eight Great Herukas, merely knowing

is permissible. Merely remembering guides the path, it is especially excellent among wisdoms, it is the supreme deity among gods. To that, approach and practice, offering and praise, all of them, will manifestly attain enlightenment in the realm of Dharma. Thus, the Vajra speech praises all teachings and treasures in an undisputed and genuine manner. In particular, the 'Gathering of Bliss,' 'Secret Perfection,' and 'Self-Arisen,' these three forms of the Eight Commands are like the essence of the heart, heart blood, and life. The great undisputed scholar and adept, Ngari Panchen Pema Wangyal Yeshe Rolpa Tsal, said: "Especially, the essence of the wondrous tantras, with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. These transmitted teachings and treasures, in these three, are shown as extensive, intermediate, and condensed. That itself is the teaching of body, speech, and mind. The holder of this, Orgyen Pema Thötreng Tsal, day and night, six times without separation, sees with his wisdom eye. The Yidam victorious ones bless like an ocean. The three places of the Dakinis always protect like a child. The Dharma protectors and oath-bound ones gather like clouds. They clear away outer and inner obstacles and bestow accomplishments. It is spontaneously accomplished on the ground of the Great Seal. Therefore, those who come as Vidyadharas in the future, even if all tantras, transmissions, and instructions are lost, it is okay, but do not let the three forms of the Eight Commands decline. Even if all the essence of practice is lost, it is okay, but do not let the practice places of the three key points of the fortress pass away. Even if all activities of teaching and practice are lost, it is okay, but do not let the explanations of empowerment, guidance, and tantra decline. The virtuous forces of fortunate beings, if you are accumulating merit, direct it towards this. Offering to the Buddhas of the three times and their retinues, you will obtain the wish-fulfilling jewel of merit." And so on. Containing all with and without elaboration, this path is the secret gathering of all the victorious ones. It is the very essence of all the Sugatas gathered. It is the path that shows the self-arisen wisdom, the self-manifestation. Hold these tantras, transmissions, and instructions as sacred. Thus, extensively instructing, all who follow the great Orgyen should hold it as the bindu of the heart, and not be confused by a meager poor man's flour bag, but if you can enjoy the treasury of profound Dharma jewels that makes one enlightened in one lifetime, it is the accumulation of the past.
