Auspicious! The emanation of the mind, Vajrapani, and the emanation of all, Yaksha Mebal, and also the assembly of heroes, dakinis, and ging! I prostrate and praise the body of the wrathful Guru! The seventh is the act of confession: Hūṃ! I am under the power of ignorance and delusion, To the lama, yidam, dakini, and Damchen protectors, If there is any contradiction in body, speech, and mind, I beseech the wrathful Padma to forgive! Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra. The eighth is the recitation of the mantra: Hūṃ! At the heart, Vajrapani Hūṃ, The mantra with the essence of Shambhur, Like a rosary threaded on a string, Revolves clockwise. From it, rays of light emanate, Burning all diseases, evil spirits, and obscurations. Visualize this, and the essence is: Oṃ āḥ hūṃ acik necik namo bhagavate hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ āḥ hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ! This is the root mantra. In the scriptures it is said: This very life-force root mantra, If recited a hundred thousand times, Subdues all eight classes of arrogant spirits. If recited a million times, All supreme siddhis will be obtained. By merely hearing and remembering it, All worldly gods and demons, Can be employed at will, without doubt. Therefore, it is best to recite twenty-one million times, including the completion. At the very least, recite four hundred thousand times. Once the recitation count is reached, visualize and recite the action mantra: From the face of the wrathful Padma, rays of mantra light, hot and rough like razors, emanate outwards, and from the face of Yaksha Mebal, similar rays emanate inwards. Imagine that at the intersection of the rays, the heads of the eight classes of gods and demons, gyalpo spirits, and harmful beings are severed with a snap. At the end of the recitation, add: Aya madu ru ca shana samaya hūṃ phaṭ! Oṃ vajra hūṃ! Yaksha hūṃ! Raksha hūṃ! Then, at the heart of the rakshas, demons, and harmful beings, Māraya hūṃ phaṭ!
