The fifth, understanding the meaning of all phenomena being unborn, therefore there is no concept of effort. Qualities: By meditating in this way, the path of union of calm and insight is accomplished, so all the qualities of the temporary and ultimate paths are accomplished. The experiences from meditating in this way, the good experiences have already been explained in their respective sections. The bad experiences are: no matter which of the three, bliss, clarity, or non-thought, is meditated upon, the clinging to the state of mind itself, thinking that it is abiding in bliss, clarity, or non-thought. Besides that, thinking that other paths are not the true path. Holding onto that as the ultimate. Bliss is attachment. Clarity is hatred. Non-thought is mixed with the poison of ignorance. The reversal of bliss is an obstacle to bindus. The reversal of clarity is an obstacle to winds. The reversal of emptiness is an obstacle to non-thought, these are faults of experience. The common remedy is to identify each one and rely on its profound antidote, which is the same as others. The uncommon remedy is to remedy it with the single key point of recognizing the nature of awareness itself. No matter what obstacle arises, recognize it. Fiercely perform the guru's devotion and supplication, and let blessings descend. Investigate where did this obstacle come from? Where is it? Who is harming? If these are not found, awareness is naked and clear, abiding in ease and clarity. At all times, liberation in the self-radiance of awareness is called a yogi who knows obstacles as accomplishments. Thus, whatever arises, whatever happens, everything that turns into faults and qualities, there is nothing other than the play of awareness. Bliss is also awareness. Suffering is also awareness. Joy is also awareness, there is nothing other than that, so by clearly understanding awareness, obstacles cannot be found by searching for them. This is the crucial key point of the Great Perfection of Self-Nature. Thus, if the wisdom arising from the means of the three, bliss, clarity, and non-thought, is gathered, the mind itself, in a state without fabrication, cuts off hope, doubt, and effort, and abides in the state of self-luminous nakedness. The All-Creating King says: Emaho! Great Bodhisattva, listen! The Buddhas of the past have also, not sought Dharma outside of their own minds, never adorned what is as it is, never meditated on conceptual samadhi, their own minds are accomplished by non-thought. Those who abide now and those who will come in the future will also be accomplished by non-thought and equality. Thus it is said. Fruit: By meditating in this way, the temporary samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-thought

Having accomplished the qualities of eyes and direct perception, ultimately attaining the state of Buddhahood, and benefiting sentient beings with the three bodies and wisdom, the Dharmakaya is like the sky, and the Rupakaya is like the rising sun and moon, continuously benefiting sentient beings extensively until the end of samsara. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The benefit of the Buddhas of the three bodies depends on this." Thus it is said. How to practice virtue and engage in good deeds in a single day: Divide the day and night into four general times, and divide the moment of consciousness into four secret times. The four outer times are: one time during the day and three times during the night, making a total of four times. The key to increasing light during the day: In meditative equipoise, abide in the state of clear light without conceptualization. In the post-meditation state, manifest the illusory body of reality as a deity, and train it in clear light, thereby exerting its power. There are three keys to suppressing wisdom at night: First, in the evening, gather the senses: With the key points of the body, soften the energy channels, and with vase breathing, visualize the syllable ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) at the navel within the central channel, and ignite it, causing the ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hang) at the crown of the head to melt, and the mind to focus on the drop descending to the heart, then the innate wisdom of bliss and emptiness will naturally arise. Second, at midnight, gather the consciousness into the vase: Focus the mind on the white, radiant ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) within the red four-petaled lotus in the heart. Combine the soft energy channels in the heart, lie down on the right side in the lion posture, and even thick sleep will manifest as clear light. Third, at dawn, establish awareness in self-illumination: Get up at dawn, exhale three long breaths in the lion posture, and hold the breath. At that time, visualize the ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) in the heart coming straight out from the Brahma hole, and abiding clearly and brightly in the sky about an arrow's distance above the head. Focusing the mind on this will manifest the wisdom of clarity and emptiness. Second, the four secret times: Divided by conceptual thought, there are three times of conceptual thought, and one time of non-conceptual thought, making a total of four times. In three-quarters of the time, in the Dharmakaya free from the three, in the view without conceptualization, abide without moving from that state. During the time of conceptual thought: The previous thought has ceased, the next thought has not arisen, and the present thought is let go without modification, then not
