Harboring the aspiration of having the fortune to possess this attainment. Then again, from the throat center, countless collections of syllables such as A (Tibetan: ཨཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: ā, literal Chinese meaning: A) and Ka (Tibetan: ཀཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: का, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kā, literal Chinese meaning: Ka) li, and Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: hrīḥ, literal Chinese meaning: Hrih), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum), Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Phat), etc., arise with their own sounds, immeasurable in number. They dissolve into the throat. Through the gateway of speech, purify the sins of lying, slander, harsh words, idle talk, etc. The blessings of speech enter the speech. Receive the secret empowerment. Have the power to meditate on the path of the completion stage. Harbor the aspiration of having the fortune to attain the Sambhogakaya fruit. Then again, from the heart center, countless collections of hand implements such as damaru, bell, vajra, curved knife, khatvanga, skull cup of blood, etc., arise. They dissolve into one's own heart. Through the gateway of mind, purify the sins of covetousness, malice, wrong views, etc. The blessings of the heart enter the mind. Receive the empowerment of wisdom and jñana. Have the power to meditate on the path of tummo and illusory body. Generate the thought that one has the fortune to attain the Dharmakaya fruit. Then the lamas, from above downwards, dissolve one into another, and all melt into light and dissolve into oneself. Receive the fourth empowerment, the word empowerment or the empowerment of the skill of awareness. Have the power to meditate on the path of Mahamudra. Harbor the aspiration of having the fortune to attain the Svabhavikakaya fruit. In that state, rest evenly in the meaning of the uncreated, innate, co-emergent jñana. At this juncture, search for the origin, dwelling, and cessation of the mind, such as the three realms. Introduce the states of the three abodes: superior, middling, and inferior. Then, the actual stages of the path: it is necessary to ascertain them through the three modes of appropriation. That is, first, the appropriation of appearance as form: contemplate all of the outer container world as solely the pure lands of Sukhavati, such as the lotus light palace. Also, all of the inner content beings should be visualized as the form of buddhas, or gurus, or deities and goddesses, and verbally offer prayers such as, "Thus, whatever appears to the eye," etc. That is, for the beautiful forms seen by the eye, such as sons and daughters of gods, as well as gandharvas, kumbhandas, kinnara daughters, cakravartin kings, etc., do not generate thoughts of attachment and delight, and do not accept them. Even when seeing many unpleasant forms such as beggars, lepers, skeletons, blind people, paupers, etc., do not generate thoughts of disgust and rejection.

In short, all appearances of purity and impurity are established as not being separate from one's own mind, and as being free from all extremes of elaboration such as rejection and acceptance, affirmation and negation—this is the view. Not straying from that is meditation. Remembering the meaning and benefiting beings is action. Meditating on the body as the nature of the Vajra Nirmanakaya is empowerment. Remaining in that state is samaya. In short, appearance is emptiness, emptiness is appearance, and remaining in the state of the inseparability of appearance and emptiness, one should meditate on the meaning of the fourfold emptiness, such as 'form is emptiness.' The way to handle sound is the speech: all sounds that are heard by the ear, whether pleasant or unpleasant, are viewed as sound-empty and unarisen, and those sounds also resound clearly as the sounds of mantras such as Āli and Kālī, and in speech, one prays with 'Thus, what is heard in the realm of the ear,' etc. 'Sound is emptiness,' etc., one contemplates the meaning of the fourfold emptiness. In short, all feelings are emptiness, all emptiness is feeling, and remaining in the state of the inseparability of feeling and emptiness, all pleasant and unpleasant sounds are of one taste, free from all rejection and acceptance, affirmation and negation, grasping and attachment—this is the view. Not straying from that is meditation. Benefiting sentient beings with that is action. Thinking that the sixty-four branches of the melodious voice of the Sambhogakaya have matured and manifested in speech is empowerment. Remaining in that state is the sequence of samaya. The way to handle thoughts is the mind: first, when contemplating the meaning of the profound nature of reality, one thinks that all obscurations and impurities have gone out from the channels, and one exhales three breaths of impure air from the right nostril, three breaths of impure air from the left nostril, and three breaths from both nostrils simultaneously. One prays with 'Thus, what moves in the realm of the mind,' etc. And one contemplates the meaning of the fourfold emptiness, such as 'mind is emptiness.' Furthermore, whatever thoughts of the five poisons such as desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, and jealousy arise in the realm of the mind, and whatever thoughts that move in the realm of the mind arise, by looking directly at their nature, arising and liberation occur simultaneously, and all external appearances are the nature of the guru's body, all sounds are the nature of the guru's speech, and everything that moves in the realm of the mind does not go beyond the guru's mind. And one completely cuts off the notion that these exist independently from self-awareness, not even by a particle. Remembering in the realm of the mind
