Thinking that all unenlightened beings are as numerous as the dust of the earth. All of these, with a unified intention, physically prostrate with folded hands, verbally utter the refuge words loudly, and mentally pray that oneself and all other sentient beings be protected from the terrible suffering of samsara, from this life, the next life, and the three stages of the bardo. Namo! To the Sugatas, Buddhas of the ten directions and three times, and their retinues, may all beings equal to the sky, from this time until enlightenment is attained, always take refuge with reverence in body, speech, and mind! Thus, recite the refuge. Sixth is generating Bodhicitta: Thinking of all sentient beings, like the endless sky of milk, generate a heart of compassion, this is the aspiration Bodhicitta. It is useless to place all of these in a place of compassion, thinking to place them in the eternal bliss of liberation, and accompanied by the action Bodhicitta. Hom! From this time until samsara is empty, may I wield the activities of the Buddhas, placing infinite beings in the state of Nirvana, I will generate the supreme Bodhicitta! Thus, recite the generation of Bodhicitta. When exhaling, give all the merits and happiness that I have accumulated from lifetimes to all sentient beings, may all sentient beings have happiness and the cause of happiness. When inhaling, think that all the sins and obscurations accumulated by all sentient beings from beginningless samsara ripen upon me, thus generating equanimity Bodhicitta. Abiding for a moment in the state where the one who generates Bodhicitta, the Bodhicitta that is generated, and the act of generating are unobtainable, this is the ultimate Bodhicitta. Seventh is accumulating merit: The antidotes to the seven branches are desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, jealousy, wrong views, and doubt. With the intention of prostrating, making offerings, repenting of sins, rejoicing in merits, requesting the turning of the wheel of Dharma, requesting to remain in the world, and dedicating the roots of virtue to unsurpassed enlightenment. Lama Glorious Vajrasattva! To the Three Jewels, Buddhas and their retinues, I prostrate in every way, offering outer and inner offerings like the ocean, I turn away from sins, I rejoice in all merits, I constantly request the turning of the wheel of Dharma, and in order to benefit beings, I respectfully pray to remain in the world, may this merit

Go! May you attain the state of unsurpassed enlightenment! Reciting this aspiration, visualize the refuge field dissolving from the crown of your head into the center of your heart, which is the preliminary stage. Secondly, the main practice includes: purifying emptiness, closing the nine doors, gathering wind and mind, and training in receiving and sending. First, purifying emptiness: arrange the body in the seven-point posture, keep the breath natural, and if the mind is easy to settle in its natural state, that's best. If not, recite: Oṃ Svabhāva (ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ,oṃ svabhāva,Essence of Being) etc., and through the cause of recitation, visualize your ordinary body dissolving like a rainbow into the sky, vanishing into emptiness. Then, rest the mind slightly in non-thought. From this state, visualize your body as only the outline of the outer skin, without the substantial forms of the inner lungs, heart, etc., but as the nature of clear, luminous light, like a blown bubble, or a raised white silk tent, or like a crystal vase, clear inside and out, transparent and without obscurations. Second, closing the nine doors: in the center of this clear heart, visualize a dark blue Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable, about the size of a thumb. As it becomes clear, follow the order of the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable expanding. Recite: Hūṃ Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ), and from the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable in the heart, two Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllables descend to block the anus and urethra; one Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable descends to block the navel; one Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable ascends to block the uvula in the throat; two Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllables ascend to block the two nostrils; two Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllables ascend to block the two eyes; two Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllables ascend to block the two ears; one Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable ascends to block the doors of the forehead. During this practice, to prevent minor obstacles, another Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable is used to block the Brahma aperture as well. Meditate as if blocking a window with a cushion, like water not leaking from the inside, and wind not entering from the outside. Then, the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) syllable in the heart becomes invisible. If you do not close them in this way, then at the time of death, the manner in which consciousness transmigrates through each door is as follows: from the anus, one falls into hell; from the urethra, one falls into the animal realm; from the navel, one enters the six desire realms; from the mouth, one enters the preta realm; from the nostrils, one enters the yaksha realm; from the eyes, one enters the human realm; from the ears, one enters the accomplished gods, known as the eaters of scent; from the forehead, one transmigrates to the gods of the form realm. Moreover, it is generally said that these are the nine doors to the lower realms. Here, one might wonder why only eight doors are explicitly mentioned. Some lamas say that from the aperture at the crown of the head, one transmigrates to the formless gods, and that the Brahma aperture is the door to liberation. However, in our lineage's oral tradition, this path is mastered through this method.
