A Quick Path to All-Goodness: A Record of the Profound Path of Transference, a Branch of the Heart Practice of Vajrasattva. Unchanging Activity, Lamp of Dharma. A Quick Path to All-Goodness: A Record of the Profound Path of Transference, a Branch of the Heart Practice of Vajrasattva. Unchanging Activity, Lamp of Dharma. This is the treatise called "A Quick Path to All-Goodness: A Record of the Profound Path of Transference, a Branch of the Heart Practice of Vajrasattva." Oṃ Svasti. (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svasti,汉语字面意思:嗡,吉祥。) The wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas of the three times, The very embodiment of power, the noble Vajradhara, Whose activity is perfectly victorious, possessing the three kindnesses, With the light of the sun of compassion, for all beings, In life after life, from the fears of the lower realms, From the masses of terrifying darkness, tightly bound in the ocean of samsara, Cleansing the masses of defilements from the basis of the minds of beings, Leading to the path of liberation, to that one I bow down. Here, in order to protect beings who are seized by the noose of the Lord of Death from the fears of the lower realms, I have written down the stages of the practice instructions for the profound path of transference, a branch of the heart practice of Vajrasattva. There are three parts: preliminary practices, the main practice, and the application to activities. First, the preliminary practices are divided into two. First, the common preliminary practices: Establishing the seven aspects of Vairocana's posture: One, the legs in the vajra posture; Two, the spine and back of the neck straight; Three, the neck slightly bent, with the throat pressing down on the Adam's apple; Four, the tip of the tongue touching the upper palate; Five, the lips and teeth in their natural position; Six, the hands in equipoise mudra with the arms straight; Seven, the waist straightened and the abdomen pushed out. The key point of speech is the nine rounds of breath purification. Exhale three times, small, medium, and large, from the left nostril. The same from the right nostril. The same from the middle. When exhaling three times, exhale once from the left, right, and middle. Visualize that from the left, all diseases are expelled in the form of pus, blood, and mucus. From the right, diseases, evil spirits, and creatures such as frogs, snakes, scorpions, tigers, leopards, and bears. From the middle, all sins and obscurations are expelled in the form of smoke and soot, carried away by the wind. The key point of mind is to visualize a lotus with eight different colored petals on the crown of your head. On top of that, on a seat of sun and moon, visualize the root guru clearly. Recite: Glorious and precious root guru, On the lotus on the crown of my head,

After being seated on the moon seat, please hold us with great kindness, and grant the accomplishments of body, speech, and mind. Recite this nine times, or seven, five, or three times at the very least, praying with the desire to bless my own mindstream. Visualize the Lama dissolving from the crown of the head into the heart center, becoming inseparable from one's own mind. Through practicing the profound path of Guru Yoga, may I and all other sentient beings quickly attain the state of omniscience. After thinking like this, may I quickly attain the glorious Lama through this virtue, and may I place all beings without exception on that ground. Thus, dedicate the merit. Second, of the seven practices for training the mind in the common preliminaries of the Great Vehicle, the first is: Thinking about the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity. Due to the power of past accumulations, we now have a precious human body endowed with the eighteen qualities of leisure and opportunity. No matter how we think about the causes, conditions, examples, or numbers, it is difficult to find this time. We must make a firm and lasting commitment to practice the genuine Dharma. Second, impermanence of death: Everyone has the idea that they will eventually die, but the thought of not dying for a while arises until the moment of death. Obscured by that evil thought, we indulge in the distractions of this life, postponing the practice of the next life, and becoming subject to laziness. Therefore, we must strive to practice Dharma right now. Third, thinking about the faults of samsara: Each of the six realms must experience endless suffering, so in order to be liberated from that, we must strive to practice the holy Dharma. Fourth, how karma ripens: By engaging in the ten non-virtuous actions, we experience ten undesirable things, and by engaging in the ten virtuous actions, we experience ten desirable things. Thus, abiding in the ten virtuous actions is the cause of happiness in this life and the next, so we must strive to accomplish them with great effort. Fifth, taking refuge: The object of refuge is essentially the kind root guru, and in appearance, it is visualized as the glorious Vajrasattva father and mother in union, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, which is the object of refuge. The individual who takes refuge is: the father on one's right, the mother on the left, the enemy in front, the relatives behind, and enemies and friends surrounding.
