Like that, rest in the illusory clear light. That itself is like the empty and clear sky. From the state of purity, arise as the deity's form. Again, increase and transform, etc. During the day, have unwavering mindfulness, and at night, apply forceful instructions. By that, pray to realize the clear light. Pray to manifest the deity's form of union from the clear light. Thus, pray. During the day, on top of the intention of illusion and dreams, add the thought, 'Tonight, I will put sleep into clear light, and from that, the deity's form will arise,' and make strong mindfulness. Whether self-appearance and appearance appear as a deity or appear as ordinary, it is fine. Look at that appearance and the mind that appears, and just by appearing as illusion, hold it. In that state, cut off without attachment and rest in equanimity. When the mind dissolves into clear light, clear and empty, like the sky, the wisdom of non-discrimination naturally arises. Again, from that state, like a fish rising from water, train in arising as the deity's form of clear emptiness, free from attachment. At night, when sleeping, focus the mind on the white, subtle, and blazing letter ཨ་(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) at the heart, and rest loosely in clarity and non-attachment. The awareness does not become dull, and it is not distracted. By meditating like that, when going to sleep, in the space between sleep and dreams, do not let conceptual thoughts arise, and without distraction, focus on ཨ་(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). Thus, for ordinary people, there is something that goes thickly like the darkness of sleep, but for those who have realized clear light, like the rays of sunlight striking a clear sky, all appearances are clear and without thought, and a state of bliss without attachment arises. Also, when a thin clear light is realized, along with going to sleep, a slight experience of holding onto clarity and emptiness with the mind arises. When a thick clear light is realized, a stable experience of abiding without attachment in clarity and emptiness like the sky arises. Thus, from the state of clear light, without discrimination, from the appearances of reverse order and winds, the deity's form of union will arise. From that, increase and transform, etc., as before, during the day with strong mindfulness, and at night, train with forceful instructions. When proficient, the deity's forms fill the sky, and one does not obscure another, and all of them appear but are without inherent existence, clear but without thought, blissful but without attachment, and appear with the three characteristics.

Third, the meditation that unites with the Bardo is: Illusory body, dream, and Bardo, these three, practice without distinction between day and night, ultimately, at the time of death's clear light, the dissolving stages are the play of the Dharmakaya, and the appearances of self-arising delusion, are the manifestation of the illusory Sambhogakaya, and the entrance and exit are emptiness and non-reality, purify with the power of the thought of the Nirmanakaya. Thus, all appearances are like illusions, or relying on the appearances of dreams during the day and night, recognize the Bardo as the Bardo, with the aspiration to manifest this, and grasp the dream. This is the appearance of the Bardo. I will manifest all the instructions of the Bardo, remember this, and clearly visualize and meditate on the instructions of the Bardo, if you can remember and grasp without being distracted in the dream, you will grasp the Bardo. Furthermore, those with sharp faculties are liberated in this life, so they do not need the instructions of the Bardo. Those with middling faculties, when the signs of death appear, manifest the clear light Dharmakaya of death, and from that, arise as the illusory body of the Bardo Yuganaddha, and benefit sentient beings, make this aspiration in advance. Hold the appearance of the waking state as the Bardo, again and again with remembrance and aspiration. In sleep and dreams, hold the thought that you are abiding in clear light and the Bardo, and meditate on the instructions, at the time of death, the wisdom of the union of the mother and child clear light, the dying mind abides in bliss-emptiness clear light, and from that, as a substitute for the Bardo, the deity body of Yuganaddha self-arises and is liberated. Even for those with inferior faculties, there are three types, among which the best is to meditate on the illusory body, dream, and Bardo as inseparable at all times, waking and dreaming. When habituated, ultimately at the time of death, the dissolving stages of the appearances of the six aggregates of objects, and the dissolving stages of the gross elements such as earth dissolving into water, and the dissolving stages of subtle and conceptual thought, that is, dissolving through appearance, increase, and attainment, the clear light Dharmakaya arises without birth. From that, the unceasing play of the Sambhogakaya arises as self-arising and spontaneously accomplished, and with the power of the Nirmanakaya's activity, ripens and liberates all sentient beings. The middling one is: the three appearances are not pure, and the self-nature of illusion is not known, therefore from the clear light, the three appearances together with the four elements arise in reverse order. From the subtle four elements, the Bardo body arises.
